Do yourself a favor and get it from Walmart on sale. $12 for a 3 year warranty so you can exchange it anytime you want (and stick drift sets in quick with my death grip). Highly recommend.

I've had two series 1 controllers and two series 2 controllers. All failed eventually in some way. The last one I had bought from Costco and they kindly gave me all my money back when Microsoft refused to do anything at the thirteen month mark. I bought a DualSense Edge instead and that's been working great for about fifteen months now. If you buy this controller, I highly recommend an extended warranty with it.

Everytime these deals come up I mention if anyone is getting this you better get a warranty. Something on it WILL break at some point. The controller is such a a great feeling control and I love the paddles but buttons will become unresponsive. My RB button only works 50% of the time and I mapped it to a back paddle for the last 2 years

I have two of these and the biggest issue I have with them is the joystick snaps back too hard and overshoots your desired input all the time. When playing a game like Diablo 4 or any other game where you are selecting items in inventory it is INCREDIBLY annoying when you try to pick an item and it will overshoot it and select the next one over.

Just a heads up. There are lots of issues with this controller. So many that Microsoft extended the warranty for all owners on it. I play once a week at most and keep it in its case at night. After approximately 18 months the back slider caps fell off, then shortly after I started having trigger issues, then my one bumper stopped registering properly every 5-6 clicks. Luckily I had an extended warranty so was able to get it replaced. This is a great deal, but if you intend on keeping it beyond the warranty period, maybe invest in a cheap $15-20 insurance plan.

Wow thanks for the heads up. I think I'mm still under the 2 year window. B button was sticky from like month 2 but never bad enough, but now the rubber sides have peeled in such a way they block the triggers from being pressed fully.

Loved this controller, but the build quality is crap. Left bumper stopped registering properly within one year, and then the warranty replacement started having stick drift within 4 months. Got a full refund via my extended warranty but would not recommend these as "premium" controllers to anyone.

In contrast, my basic Xbox controller has worked for nearly 6 years without a hitch.

Last I checked they only offered 2 years... My back paddles stop working at 1.1 years. I'm on my 4-5th elite... Of which I'm on my second elite2. Once you program your brain to use them you can never go back.
Facts lol my wife and me both physically cant play with anything else. We gotta have these the weight, the feel, the trigger stops, it's all programmed and anything else is awful.

God, I would get one of these if they didn't self destruct so often.

Honest question - is it that much better then a standard controller? I've put a lot of hours into Hades, might be worth an upgrade with Hades II coming out soonish.

It's crazy to still hear stories about the Gen2's being so fragile, my Gen1 Elite is still going strong after literally hundreds (if not thousands) of hours of gameplay.

What's a good extended warranty to buy after I receive this?

As others have said, these controllers break CONSTANTLY. A simple google search will show tons of people complaining about stuck buttons and paddles not working. Most gaming enthusiasts have moved away from this controller and I would recommend the same to even the casual player. $25 is too much for this controller. If you NEED paddles, I highly recommend the Fusion Pro 2 (it is wired), but is essentially the same controller without the issues. Have been using them on my eSports team for years. Solid controller.

I bought the controller via PayPal and 10 minutes later they sent me an email asking me to upload my ID and a current bill. So I went online and asked why. They said it's standard practice to verify purchases. I told them to cancel the order. I was buying a game controller not establishing phone service.

Good price. This is the worst controller I've ever owned though. Microsoft has horrendous quality control

Do these still have the issue of poor response on X and Y buttons?
