That said I have been burnt enough times and learnt the hard way to stay away from them. At least with Metro the system rejects orders beforehand. With Tracfone the issues happen after you get the phone…if something goes wrong in activation the customer service outrigjt lies and wastes your time .
That was NOT my case a few months ago, I needed to talk to CSR for unlocking.
The camera is good but not splendid. The screen looks good but has lagged touch register/none-register issue. Overall this phone is buggy and not worth the MSRP of $699. $100 seems like a fair price if you don't have other choice.

Unlike the iPhones which unlocked automatically, you may need to initiate the unlock process and key in the unlock codes. If it's anything like TracFone, it's a slight pain in the butt, but it works.

I don't trust the phone automatically unlocking on day 60 and expiring on day 60. If anything at all goes wrong, you'll need an extra couple days to be on-plan and request and unlock, which would suck.

You only need to call the Unlocking Dept if there's a problem, like the site says the phone is not eligble for unlocking although it's past the waiting period.
NOTE:
* On the phone, you dial #TFUNLOCK# (#83865625#) to access the TF UNLOCK Menu to enter the codes. With a Samsung phone, you need to use the Samsung PHONE app (green phone icon), not the Google PHONE app (blue phone icon), to get to the Unlock Menu.
* SOMETIMES the two strings of codes are shown out-of-sequence. If you type in the 1st string and it says Invalid Code, then try entering the 2nd string first.
