Reviews say if you don't let the gel beads soak and expand enough this could happen
As a parent of young teens, the nerf gel blasters are a ton of fun. We use them outside. No darts to clean up, getting hit stings just enough that you care but not as much as a paintball. Great product, great deal.
lemon would be too heavy. Probably that why you got a few feet.

Which one should I get for shooting squirrels that eat my birdseed?
This is actually a pretty good use case, It's unlikely to hurt them as long as you're careful to not shoot from too close, but it definitely scares them away. I use a similar one for the groundhogs that dig holes in my yard.
I'd recommend the rechargeable one because you don't want them to learn to just be scared of you pumping it before shooting.

wow, you shot groundhogs? we sometimes get moles, but the little buggers don't come up from the holes very often. I guess groundhogs are more apt to be above ground more?

Good point! Yes! your right, the pump action will tip them off. But damn I don't want to spend $40 bucks on an electronic. Might just try for the rifle and sneak up on them.
I was looking at airsoft and BB's but I don't want to kill them or hurt them permanently but just keep them out of the got dang birdfeeder!
Seed microplastics all over the place? Does anyone know if these are biodegradable or not. This would be a big selling point more likely it's not. It's not like it matters for most people anyways. I got this last time the deal was posted. If I don't think about it these are quite enjoyable and pretty accurate to shoot. ammo is cheap as hell.

It does depend on what you buy obviously, some are probably cutting corners somehow, but most of them are biodegradable. One of the rarer use cases for these is actually keeping plants watered.

All the 'self filling water beads' are made of simple sodium polyacrylate which is not really anything like plastic or even bioplastic. Its going to break down and dissolve, it just takes some time so theres a chance the residue is still visible for a while.
