I convinced myself to buy the Bose 900 instead of the Arc. What a mistake. The Bose constantly disconnects via HDMI and I've been through 3 units before my 2 yr Best Buy Total Tech membership coverage expired. Unit #3 just malfunctioned. Bose wired speakers are great, I would avoid these at all costs. The tech isn't there

I've had this exact setup for a few years. Had disconnecting issues with an older tv, but ever since upgrading in 2022 the soundbar has been fine. I thought about the 900 but have read too many disconnecting issues.

Try playing around with the settings using the app. there are around 10+ hdmi setting options. Setting #4 worked flawlessly for my LG Tv
Ah, I didn't even see that. I thought it was a bundle with the older 700 bar. Either way I guess, I feel like these are plagued with disconnecting issues.
I mean Bose is the grandpa of all audio companies and they speficially do R&D on sound. It's their bread n butter. Samsung and other TV brands are just branching out and doing more than TV mainly for a profit.
I wouldn't consider Samsung as a audio company by far. They make great TVs and phones but thats about it. Same for Sony/LG etc. Bose is in its own league when it comes to audio.
You're right, Samsung isn't an audio company that's why they acquired Harman Kardon (with JBL). That's where their audio expertise comes from. Are those brands better than Bose? Probably not, but I'd argue they are better at making soundbars specifically. Internet consensus says the Sammy soundbars are the best overall, especially last year's flagship at less than half of this price for Bose: https://slickdeals.net/f/17484618-samsung-q990c-on-sale-again-with-edu-epp-account-700
