Ace has HTH pool shock for $2.99, this is the cheapest I've seen it so far this year. For comparison Sam's has a 24 pack on sale for $99.98 which works out to $4.16 a pack.

I use this stuff in a sprayer mixed with water to clean our driveway and sidewalks. It ends up costing 10% of what outdoor bleach does.

Calcium hypochlorite will make your concrete look like new, if you have organic stains.
Keep in mind these aren't 1lb bags. Which is very odd
Note that the comparison to Sam's product is Oranges to Apples... not the same product. The Sam's product is stabilizer; this is Cal Hypo.

For some what more closely comparison. Costco has HTH Cal Hypo, 15 lbs for $70 with 56% Cal. Hypo vs the 49% at Ace.

Still not apples to apples price comparison, but if we ignore the Cal Hypo content:

70/15lb/16oz (costco) = ~$0.292 / oz * 13.3 oz (Ace's pack) = $3.88 a pack.

Not really sure how include the Cal. Hypo percentage in the calculation to make it Apples to Apples comparison.

Great find! I went to my local Ace and picked up the little they had left, I think there were clearing out last years product as it looked dated and the cardboard box that it was in basically fell apart when I picked it up haha. Still will work, the general rule for shock is 3-5 years of shelf life. Thanks!

Ace also have 56% cal hypo bucket, that is the best bet.
Please double check and let me know if calculation is correct.
I have a 25k gallon pool, any other suggestions to save money from chlorine in Atlanta metro, please post here.

Available chlorine: 56% of 50 pounds = 28 pounds of available chlorine. Price: $189.99 for 50 pounds.
Equivalent price per pound of available chlorine:
189.99/28≈$6.78

13.3 ounces of chlorine with 46% available chlorine:
Convert ounces to pounds:
13.3 ounces = 0.83125 pounds
Available chlorine: 46% of 0.83125 pounds = 0.382812 pounds Price for 0.83125 pounds: $2.99
Equivalent price per pound of available chlorine:
2.99/0.3828125 ≈ 7.82

Ace 50 lb bucket is better than Costco.
