It's the exact same unit (in Ridgid orange) as the Delta Cruzer. Delta makes these robot saws for Ridgid, hence no LSA. If you have trouble finding reviews online, just look up the Cruzer.

Biggest complaint has been deflection at full extension and terrible dust collection. There's very passionate opinions on each.

Thanks for posting. Just a reminder for those interested, this saw does not have the Lifetime Warranty that most Ridgid tools have. This one only has a 5 year warranty coverage.

The LSA only applies to Ridgid products that are produced and marketed under license by Techtronic Industries (TTI). But the Ridgid brand, owned by Emerson, is much larger than what comes from TTI and has many different warranties depending on the product, like hand tools, plumbing tools, vacuums, and these Delta manufactured NEXT line of benchtop power tools.

Thanks for pointing this important fact out. Why does this only have a 5 year warranty and no LSA?
From the reviews i read its because its not directly made by ridgid. just branded.

Good to know thanks, I'm not saying they are bad tools but I'll be avoiding those as the lsa is the biggest selling point for Ridgid. Although the miter saw is a pretty good deal

5 years is still as good or better than much of the competition (DeWalt is 3 years, if I remember correctly) and if something is going to go wrong, it'll most likely happen much sooner than that.

FWIW, normal list price is $429 but SD won't let me edit that field in the original post. Apologies for the initial miss.

The deflection is not really an issue but the dust collection is horrible.

Dust collection is so horrible for another $7 (cashback activated) you can get the skil sliding miter saw with pretty much better accessories included, and 20lbs lighter so it's more portable. This is good for a unit that doesn't move and saves space. The highlight of the tool is its arm function for sliding

Skil way better and only $250. This rigid deal was posted a while back. I'd go with the skil. YouTube reviews confirm this too. The rigid aka delta has terrible dust collection and a lot of deflection. I was even going to purchase the rigid and after seeing it in store in person, I passed. Skil everyday price $250. With cashback actuslly ends up only being $7 more. Much lighter too. Rigid is heavy. I'd only get the rigid if you need space and don't plan on moving it. Deflection happens to all sliding miter saws to certain degree. HD trying to clear stock
Which Skil miter saw deal are you referring to? I searched SD for 'miter saw' and I'm not seeing anything posted within the past month. Only Skil product I see is a table saw.

Thanks. Repped. Was thinking about getting the Ridgid as I have a couple in stock at my local HD, but I'm not sure if it's that good of a deal. I really know nothing about miter saws, so I'll need to do some research.

Is it just me or is that 15.8 in crosscut capacity larger than usual? I'm reading the specs and the Dewalt 779/780 only do up to 13.75

They're not built the same. I have the Delta Cruzer (Same as the Ridgid in this deal) and it is very nice. These are on par with the Bosch articulating saws in most aspects (wish the Bosch had a shadow line). The saw is heavier because it is made of more material. The platform/deck is larger on the ridgid. The articulating arms are heavy duty and allows the saw to be placed on a bench right up against the wall. If you're using this in a shop, I would go with the Ridgid all day long where the weight doesn't matter.
