I just went to the Hillsboro, OR Costco and there were at least 30 of these left at the $79.99 price. I picked up two for my 3 zones and will use with a water splitter. I hope these don't leak but at least I have Costco's warranty and easy return.
I have the orbit ones and they've been fine in the sun for 3 years now. I'm assuming the Rachio ones would be just as good. Lots of teflon tape help with leaks.
Orbit's smart watering leaves a bit to be desired, though, because there's no way to give the app feedback as to what's actually happening to your lawn etc. And you can't see a unified calendar of all your watering times; you can only see per device, which is annoying.
Might give Rachio a try.
As a note, there seem to be plenty of integrations for Rachio on their website: google home, Alexa, iftt, and smart things are listed.
I got these recently from the warehouse and like that they run on the same app as my irrigation controller. I see that Home Depot has a wifi enabled dual controller for $49 currently on sale, tempted to check that out. Gets decent reviews. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky.../327680757
Purchased two Husky brand auto watering units, 2 spigots each. They are surprisingly very good quality and the app to schedule works pretty seemlessly. You might want to check HD and see what you think.

This is a new development which I welcome. I can confirm I have this time been able to find the Rachio app on the Google Home list of apps that integrate with it. Thank you for the comment.
I just got the Orbit 2-pack XD Hyve-D with 2nd Gen hub from Costco.com for $80, just been installed a day, there's no smart home integration with Homekit/Google/Amazon that I'm aware of.
Setup was quick, using it for 2 areas of new lawn in the front/back, seems sturdy enough.
It worked when I did manually on, we'll see how the smart watering based on local rainfall and soil type work.
Too early to comment. Anyone on this Orbit Hyve-D w/2nd gen hub vs Rachio as mentioned before?
I might have to swing by Costco to check if this is there. My rainpoint just broke on me. I tried to take it apart and spread flexseal all over it but there is some kind of hole in the plastic pipes
Please join me in hopping into the next century. I have these around my yard with sprinklers and drip irrigation
Never have to water my garden, flowers, lawn manually again. Set it on a schedule and rain delay and boom!

And your water provider might have rebates.
I also have the Rachio 3 controller for my lawn.

In the garden section. I have three Costco nearby and only one location sells this particular item. That's why I added the YMMV.
