If you're after Dirac Live & need pre outs this is a no brainer.
If not save the $300 and wait for the 7100 to go to $549 again.

FYI here is the extremely helpful video from a renowned AV Professional(AA) who worked directly with Dirac for key tips & tricks!
This is the video to follow to maximize your Dirac Live RC, it applies to ANY Dirac Live capable AVR!

Will highly recommend the a6a over this for build quality and maybe longevity and years of trouble free enjoyment.

Ok got a question. I have a theater room thats 11.2 or 7.2.4 so I have the 3 front, 2 mid, and 2 rear. 2 Subs and 4 atmos ceiling speakers. Right now its all running off of a Denon X6500H. The Denon X6500H reciever only does 4K 60 and no 8K. Right now I have a LG OLED C3 83". So the question is would it be worth it to get the Onkyo TX-RZ50 to be the head unit to run the video 4K 120 and front/mid/back. and use the Denon X6500H to run atmos and subs (Subs are Powered). Or no reason to change what I got.

Bought this at 1100, and returned for an A6A at 1400. I was happy with the swap. That being said, this is a good price.

šŸ‘†šŸ» This!! But with hesitation. I purchased the Onkyo TX-NR7100 last November when it was $519 at Adorama. All in all, it's an enjoyable unit; however, it drops Bluetooth connectivity with my Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G. In turn, I have to go back through the initial setup. As I'm new to the home theater experience, I haven't found much "out there" regarding my issue. Perhaps I'll call Adorama tomorrow and see what they say. šŸ¤”
