I'm a medium-phile. I want to upgrade my stereo to at least 7.1. This deal is not as good as the Adoroma deal at $799 - that was a steal. This is brand new and not refurbed (i.e. Amazon/others

Same price at Crutchfield/ABT/etc...

Onkyo TX-RZ50 9.2-channel home theater receiver with Dolby Atmos®, Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, Apple AirPlay® 2, and Amazon Alexa compatibility at Crutchfield

Amazon has refurbed for same prices as well.

I'm hesitant once I saw it got to $799 not too long ago.
Enjoy

Great receiver in this price range
Dare I say the one to beat

I have owned it for several months and it's very sonically capable and definitely sounds better than some I have paid more for( Marantz 7015 for example)

Price has been better but this , but it is near the end of the line for this model

It was $899 and no tax for me on GT, and was $800 a few weeks ago. $1000 seems to be the new standard on Amazon and other sites.

What do think of this Yamaha receiver compared to RZ50?

https://slickdeals.net/f/17655636-yamaha-aventage-rx-a6a-9-2-channel-av-receiver-1300-free-s-h?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

I compared specs. The Yamaha has more power and o suppose better components? But at $1200 it's hard to consider it over Onkyo. BTW I clicked on link above and deal is dead. If Adorama has another RZ50 deal jump on it. .

If I didn't care for modern room correction and I had low impedance speakers, then the A6A is a better choice than the RZ50, especially since the RZ50 cuts off power at ~35W for 4 ohms (2CH driven).

The main reason this is so popular is Dirac Live.
If you don't need preouts, the $320 deal for the Pioneer 305 is way better deal.
Especially when you consider some people believe all these receivers sound/perform the same!
