This is an older model than the Costco unit. It does not have the "turbo" speed option which is handy for mulching. The handle and controls are also different and it doesn't fold and store upright as easily. Not a bad mower, just not the latest version. The 5 Ah battery is a nice feature.

At Costco for ~$100 more, you get the newer model with an extra mulch blade and one 4 Ah battery and one 2Ah battery, plus the better return policy. the Costco model is also dual battery ports. When one is depleted it automatically switches to the fresh one.
I have the Kobalt version paid $299 last year which you may never see again.....it was 2x2.5ah batteries and literally never runs out of power since by the time it is done the other is ready. just several battery swaps which is painless and seamless.

1.15 acre and self propelled 💯 of the time and no issues 👍
On the highest self propelled setting it takes a 12 year old football player just over 2 hours 😂

Costco will take it back if you don't like it or it doesn't work for your lawn. Reviews of the Costco mower are not that great.

I really want a battery powered mower but I'm not going to buy one unless I can return it if it doesn't work for me.

Not my Costco. The return ladies there are ****heads

Thanks OP! I've been nursing a gas mower that should have been retired last season. I say season but in reality, in Florida- it's an all year chore. Spending a small fortune in replacement air filter, non-ethanol gas only to aggravate my rotator injury with the pull cord every time. Great price for hopefully less hassle and small footprint for storage.

I have the 60V Snapper version of this mower that I picked up a few years ago with an extra I think it's a 4ah battery (both the same size). The only differences are 1) the color, 2) the rails on the plastic battery housing make it incompatible with the greenworks charger. Same battery though.

Absolutely zero complaints after 4 years. Zero.

I am a new home owner and have a decent size yard around 1500 sqft. Has anyone used a corded mower? I am not sure if I want to spend $400 for a mower. The greenworks corded ones are around $130 with enough power.

I live on a lake and grass in the backyard is extraordinarily thick. With my gas mower I would have to slow roll it. Sometimes lifting the deck to clear the clippings (not moisture related) The high torque with this 80V mower went through it easily. My height setting was on 2nd notch which is pretty short. Heading into rainy season and not wanting to mow weekly. 5Ah battery, didn't use self-propel and finished up .3 acres. First: My lawn has never looked this good. Second: So easy that I'm inspired to recruit a crew from the Assisted Living to start a lawn care business using Greenworks mowers. **I just ordered the GW blower & trimmer combo at SD which has another charger and TWO batteries.

Mine arrived, but I'm sending it back. The self-propelled is acting crazy. The damn thing starts soon as I put the battery in. It will not shut off unless I take it out, or it stops randomly, and it makes weird beeping noises. I'm going with Ego. I hope I don't regret it as the GW has more power.

If anyone's wondering, the machine arrived in its standard green body with a black mulch bag.

The costco one is coming up at $629.99. Was there a sale that I missed?
