Home Depot has the buy starter kit get a tool deal up for memorial day with this great hackable.

Order the m18 rocket light linked above, add the m18 battery starter pack - https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../315426486 - batteries come down as 169.32 with a charger (not bad, that's under $15 an amp hour including a charger) & the light to a whopping 129.68. those who know the drill can do ship to different locations & cancel the batteries (or the light if you want them & not the light) &just pick up the other, or my preference, same store pick up, collect both, move over to return counter & only keep the 1 you want.
either way, m18 rocket light at the best price I recall seeing... and vets, obviously you should be able to apply your discount.

I personally haven't been that impressed with this light. For the size and weight of it I'm expecting it to light up my backyard like Yankee Stadium.

The husky light is great for limited uses or if you're near a power source and can plug it in. The battery interchangeability on the rocket has more than paid its weight in gold for me already when I'm not near a power source. Just bring a bunch of batteries that already go into my other tools and swap in and out.

Typically my 6.0AH HO's charge up faster than next one dies, so I can just keep working in the woods with the light and just swap 2-3 batteries in/out in my garage for hours at a time.

When I'm in my garage and working on my car or something like that, I typically use the Husky since it's a smaller profile and a little bit more maneuverable. Both are fantastic.

Surely not that interesting? I guess if you consider using their system as they intend "taking advantage", then you must be endlessly and easily entertained. They list the return value on the receipt, so there is no question about what you are buying or what is owed back to you in a return scenario. No offense to OP but I don't buy into the glamour of considering this a "hack" just to make myself feel better about overpaying for a light. I've purchased the items I've needed to, sometimes returning the batteries afterward, sometimes not. It's a nice device but it's still a $130 flashlight on a stick, and in a scenario when I need such a thing and want a fancy red one, they are still making money off of me and HD (shoot, even TTI) is in the black with me WAY before I'm in the ground. I'm flush though with lights on a red stick, since I've got one from internationaltool in 2022. It was only $99 including the battery though-- is that too cheap? Is the ethical thing to go back and offer them more money for it? Should I have not clicked because I thought they didn't know about it?

Well my HD app is showing that for promo items you are required to have either the same pickup or shipping location …. You can't designate diff locations also the link is down from the OP …

It works good indoor but then you can get a corded one
