Ah the classic all in one mechanics tool box. I keep forgetting Sears is still in business at some locations.

One of the reviews mentioned a plastic piece breaking when opening up the tool box. And was dissapointed neither Craftsman or Sears would help him. Since he bought because of their reputations. He must be living under a rock.

I would stay away from both even though my Lowes Craftsman 60v lawnmower worked great, but they discountinued it as soon as they created it, and they tend to repeat this patern with allot of their new tool releases.

It seems these kits are always put together by people who have never worked on a car. What's the point of just 8 combination wrenches in an SAE/Metric set?

How's that lawnmower working for you? Have you had to replace the battery yet? I've got one and had to use the warranty. Worked out back then, but not so much for the weed eater, they no longer had that/2.5Ah battery.

There are plenty of other good quality durable (DeWalt, Husky, etc) 140-200 piece sets with just as many useful sockets and spanners as this set has, except those cost less and don't include all the trash filler screwdriver bits like this set has. The description says this has a total of 148 screwdriver bits and hex keys to bulk up their number to make it seem like a lot of tools lol! The 192pc DeWalt set sometimes goes on sale for $89 or $99 so that's my favorite set. I own 1 of those and a 150-ish piece DeWalt set, as well as a 110-ish piece Husky and a 90-ish piece Husky set. All of these are considerably more compact and easier to carry than this Craftsman set. I was also surprised to hear Sears was still around...clearly they won't be for long though.

I know a guy who recently just got a smokin' deal on a Craftsman cordless drill. Mixed one bucket of epoxy, and his drill started smokin'. 😆

It's a damn shame. I used to buy nothing but Craftsman tools, nowadays, I buy nothing with the name Craftsman tools.

How an iconic store can go bust. All my memories with sears. Nostalgic. All those SYWR points making my tool box, one tool at a time for free.

Nothing but craftsman in my tool chest !!

Trays work perfectly in the Harbor Freight tool boxes.

I really can't give this any sort of thumbs up. I used to love Craftsman tools, but the set I bought 20 years ago and the set I got 2 years ago are night and day in terms of quality. The older set is a beast that takes anything I can throw at it, it is still going strong. The newer set (I think it's this very one) feels cheap and already has ratchets that slip and some of the wrenches just don't grab right. I remember when a 50-cents a tool deal would have been an amazing find. Now it's just there.

I won't thumbs it down, because if you need tools this works - but this is now "just a set."

Used the lawnmower for 4 years without any issues. The mowing deck being metal ran through rocks and branches without any issues. Only complaint was the wheels were a bit too slick on wet grass or going up a hill. I had the 7.5Ah battery and saw no diminished run time. I wanted to get a few extra tools and smaller battery for weed eater, chainsaw but could not find the tools or batteries anymore at a decent price. Sold the mower not long ago as i did not want to have one tool and battery for landscaping when everything else is in Ryobi ecosystem.

Is not meant for mixing, but people use it, not the device's fault.

Same here. I have a mechanics set from ~2008 when they were still made in the US. That set has been completely solid and it's never given me a problem. When they outsourced their tool manufacturing, the quality really went downhill. I had no idea you could still buy anything from Sears.
