It's a refresh of the Original 1000R G9. They did the same thing with the G7 VA's and called them G65 so that they could price them the same as the old ones. Most significant change is the base which is no longer that annoying V that takes up 30% of your usable desk space
Is it still G-sync compatible? I recall the older G9 have that sticker (CRG9/Neo/G9) or printed on the base or something.. Yeah I know I know, most mons are both Free and Gsync compatible...
BTW I tried it and the price popped up as $719+tax... The strange thing is if I buy two, the price per mon becomes $64x before tax..
So even without the EDD discount, is this monitor worth it?
I've been looking for a good deal on a large curved OLED but I'm not super sold on Samsung tech. I love my Sony OLED TV but I've been burned by Samsung plenty in the past.

It is. Keep in mind its not true G-sync with a dedicated module. Nvidia started implementing a version similar to freesync way back. The difference is the module if I remember correctly have minimal to no additional input lag. The only use cases that matters though is e-sports title where you would turn it off anyways.

I think only alienware mons have the module now? Like their 34 OLED (I have that one) and their older 38 UW. Not sure if their new 32 4K OLED has the module...

Put it this way, back in Feb the refurbished crg9 was on sale on ebay from reputable seller. It came to by around $630. Beautiful pq, and quality is really good. This is the newer model brand new for 675 is a very good deal imo. This is a very slick deal.

As far as I can tell this doesn't have Mini-LEDs despite being a newer released monitor.
Look online, everyone says this is basically the same monitor as the 2020 one with HDMI 2.1 with other small changes.
Interesting!
