So I moved to my 3400 PSI gas unit, wouldn't crank. Hadn't used in 2 years.
Tried my electric. Worked right away.
The limiting factor on electric is the 15A plug. They may larger ones that can do actual 4000 PSI and 3.5GPM but need the same plug as your stove (50A, 240V)
Gas are excellent when you use them all the time and don't have to rebuild a carburetor, etc.
so there's a trick tho. with this, less water, means less run off with the dirt, so I bought the ryobi water broom attachment, every 10-15 feet, I pop off the surface disk cleaner, and use the little broom/water broom (its a sprayer with skate wheels on it) and I move all the nasty dirt away down driveway.
long story short, it does take longer than my gas one, but plug and play, do nothing but put in garage and forget about it. im going on year 3 I think. zero regrets, yeah maybe 50% longer to pressure wash, but zero fuel, and no craps given. worth it!
I paid like 250 for my 3000 psi ryobi from Home Depot somehow, it was a glitch first day it was listed, then changed to 399 or 499 I forget.
no idea how I got this discount when it was announced but I did. lol- my garage is a 20amp outlet, if that matters too.

Yep. I believe they only make one 3000psi electric PW.
This might be good to clean the car, bikes, lawn equipment, outdoor furniture and the like. It will not be able to tackle the bigger jobs you are liable to try and throw at it. It's small, powerful for it's size, and can clean large items around your house. If you want something to clean the driveway, house, etc...You are going to need a larger more powerful gas unit.
Have a great HOLIDAY everybody!

Opinion: I've used gas powered most of my life and gas will always out perform electric (for now) so you can electric to the same standard.
I ended up getting electric because I move a lot for work and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it works. It's great for car/truck washes (especially under body), cleaning decks/fences, moderate concrete cleaning (can get most stains off), and all around easier to use. If you're on the fence for work around the house, definitely get electric. If you're looking for commercial business, heavy duty, etc, stick with gas.
***most important: a lot of electric pressure washers fail after a couple months due to improper pump care. Get a can of "pump saver" from Amazon or Lowe's (~$8) and spray it in after each use. Mine has been running great for 4 yrs now.
Hope this helps!
Taking care of your equipment.... Slick!
How do you do it when there is no shutoff? Actually opening up the carb, etc?
My dad took the paint off his truck with his large gas one. :-O
I think it's pretty powerful and honestly afraid to use it in my car even though it has a car attachment but just got a new car so maybe I'll wait to test it after a year.

like I said, I paid like 25 dollars for the disc thing, and 20sh for the broom. ef paying full price, you could get away using them from Home Depot, and returning the and the works done til next year anyway. - then wait for a big sale over winter when they clearance this crap out.
This Ryobi one is important, because it has the correct tips for electric washer, using a gas model, or to small/weaker one won't yield good results. I had old disk and I gave to a friend and bought this one, and it's great paired to my electric.
Gas ones have larger orifices, so won't have the same cleaning power.
the ryobi one, I just did one pass, then back so 1 up 1 down, and its clean, my driveway is large squares so it makes it easy to knock out a few squares and push dirt down. lemme get a pic. 1 second
