Also, my $98 credit is showing up under the savings tab. But I never got the email from Amex. And it doesn't show up as a credit on the billing cycle yet.

Will show up under savings tab a day or two before it posts. Amex confirmation emails are hit or miss in my experience.

Just received the email with the $100 off promo. Seems to be a generic "promo" code.
Glancing at the fine print, am I understanding this correct?
It isn't a credit, but instead a $100 off coupon code? So I would have to use it all in one order?
