Good deal not sure this team w/e is a good brand though
Son is running 32gb since almost 2 years now no issues also got 1TB NVME (I think he got a bundle deal from Newegg back in the day) which is running fine. The use of his computer is pretty heavy I would say. Probably runs 60 - 80 hours a week.

I installed this yesterday and works fine. I replaced 16GB of ram with no heatsink and was lagging during some games.

Bought a couple of these kits a year ago for $49/ea.

No complaints. Super stable.

This is about average price these days for 32GB of 3200C16. There's a couple similar skus on pcpartpicker for ~$50.
Might be worth spending $30 more and getting some cheap B-die if you want better performance out of ryzen chips, especially zen1 and zen2.

I've never used more than 16GB in my PC...
At work with four monitors 32gb was slowing me down. I had to upgrade to 64gb and it was a huge difference.

Used some Teamgroup DDR5 for a friend's gaming build and worked like it should no issues with the brand. While typically a G.Skill guy wouldn't hesitate to use this brand again.

I have this on my 5700g and it works great. The timings are hard set which is helpful if your mobo does not support xmp.

Just switched from these to Corsair vengence… has these at xmp and my computer blue screened every few days. My new ram doesn't do that at all, it's been just over a week

Different users have different needs, if you just use it for regular use and light gaming 16GB is fine, I use 32GB and my utilization usually runs at 65% or around 20GB.

Slickdeals, if you're going to censor the highest scoring post and the replies to it, how about transparency into why a certain brand can't be mentioned.

The sum of the warning, minus losing my magical internet points part of it.

"Thanks for posting this comment, however the brand [redacted] is banned. Linking or discussing banned merchants is against the rules."

_______

Anyway since it was a message to the consumer...

TeamGroup is one of the best value brands for RAM & SSD's on the market.

Don't let lack of name recognition scare you away. If you're just going to enable XMP/EXPO/DOCP you need nothing fancier.

Though these are their overclockable branded DIMMs so good time for someone to pull their G.Skill DIMMs out just to see how tight the timings will get on these before a platform upgrade.

With DDR5 is here and becoming affordable, there is no reason for 99% of people to spend a dollar more than they need to on DDR4. Also TG makes good average consumer DDR5 as well.

Thank you for the insight. For me, I am just extending my Dell optiplex desktop just a few more years longer. My use case, the mobo can only use up to DDR4. So rather than upgrading mobo, CPU, DDR5, etc... this is ok for now without breaking the bank to edge just a bit more.
