the impact is a decade old BRUSHED motor model that's weaker than modern mid toques that you can buy for $125. it's loud and it's massive. i didn't know these were still in production. the batteries in this kit are junk too.
i guess it's a fair price, but i wouldn't call this a "slickdeal"

Busting torque is 640lbs. OMG! I had a Kobalt one like this. It was horrible. It wasn't able to get the end link nuts off without going at it for a good 5 minutes. The Kobalt one said it was around 700lbs busting torque, so they are basically the same. I never used it after that day.
So for anyone considering this deal, it's really not a good deal.
Someone must have found a container of Ye Ol Milwaukee that got lost 10 years ago. The torque wrench was mediocre when it first came out a decade ago and was quickly outclassed by its competitors long ago. The crappy batteries only add to the misery. Id encourage everyone to pass on this deal.

I ditto that with my experience using a similar Makita tool with a 3.0ah battery,
I don't know about the rest of the kit (I have the newer 1/2"), but I still use this ratchet.
The newer ones are definitely stronger and faster, but they're also larger and harder to get into tight spaces. I'm not using it to break anything loose or torque (that's what torque wrenches are for), but to speed things up.
I even picked up a brand new spare for when this one breaks.
Probably a much better deal to get it either on its own or a hack, though.

I think you're being a little dramatic.
This impact driver has 640 lbs of nut busting torque.
The Gen 2 FUEL impact driver has 650 lbs of nut busting torque...and it's $250 tool only.
If you want both of these tools and won't use them daily, seems like a good deal.

And I like how you focused on the thing that matters the least while ignoring that this impact is a 9 pound brushed cinder block.
