He also wants to sell you ✨️ tonewood ✨️ and tries to convince you that it dramatically affects the tone of an electric guitar in a way that cannot be verified or proven with science because ...violins.

So, I'm not sure Paul Reed Smith, the expensive electric guitar salesman who believes in magic, is someone that you should consider to be a trustworthy authority on the topic.

Why Fender if claiming original? Get a G&L instead. I happen to have a G&L ASAT that is more "original" than a Fender Tele. To a certain extent, Fender is actually a knockoff of G&L.
I suggest catching up on some guitar history.

You know what, I think it's shifted. I think the delusional ones might the those who still think USA made is worth a $1.5k premium. These are really really good guitars. Unless you want the Rolex like status of MIA, there's very little functional difference for most.
I disagree. The fretwork on MIMs are mediocre at best and awful at worst. For a guitar that retails for around $800, I expect better. Classic Vibes have impeccable fretwork, so I don't understand why MIMs can't. It's my understanding that American Fenders spend a lot more time finishing their frets, making sure they are all perfectly even and the fret ends are smooth. MIM fret ends are full of machine marks and it's not uncommon to have a few slightly high frets.

Purchased 3 days ago, still "pending"
You're probably squared away by now but in future keep in mind that the owners of Adorama are observant Jews, so they're closed from mid-afternoon friday through to sunday morning. They also close for holidays that most of us haven't even heard of, such as their being closed today and tomorrow (June 12-13) for Shavuos. Similar situation with B&H Photo, who won't even permit online checkout when they're closed for the weekend/holidays. Don't know if this was your situation or not but your ordering timeframe suggests it may have been.

I think one of the reasons why Leo Fender started G&L is that the man wanted something different from the "original" Tele or Strat. That is why G&L only introduced the legacy ("original strat") after his passing. That being said, I don't consider the "original" to be any better than the copies.

Yes. The LPB color Player Series is exclusive for Adorama. I bought one a couple years ago. Nice guitar. No issues with Adorama either.

Thanks for the answer. I ordered one as well. The color is beautiful and plays wonderfully. Heck of a step up from the monoprice tele I have.

I'll add that the customer service is excellent. UPS absolutely trashed mine during delivery, and not only did Adorama make the return process very easy, they also gave me free next day delivery on my replacement (in order to make this happen, I had to opt for a full return and re-purchase, rather than have it processed as exchange).

I have been waiting, patiently (over a year), for a deal like this on any color *BUT* Lake Placid Blue. Haha.

I put a black pickguard and vintage style bridge on mine.

I've had all my MIM Fenders and EvH (which… fender made and owned) come with better fretwork than some of my MIA *Cough*acoustasonics x2*cough*. Every one I've seen made after 2018 has been great.

And I bought all the CV models and sent most back for qc issues such as feet edges I don't wanna mess with.

I think he started it as an FU to Musicman because they kept rejecting CLF Research's shoddy finish work….

I can only compare with my own experience. My Classic Vibe Starcaster has better fretwork than any of my guitars, including a $1600 PRS SE. My MIM fretwork is average, and on par with my $500 Epiphone Les Pauls and $300 Yamaha Pacifica. My Starcaster is not only the only guitar that has perfectly level frets, but you can't find a single tool mark on the sides of the frets.
