I've been using this off and on for a few years now with success. You could add a spouse as an authorized user to your card to get them a card so they can get in free as well
Likewise, I've never seen this on my card literature (and never heard about it from my ml advisor, who knows we're history nuts). Also, haw stingy can you be to limit it to a single admission? A pair would be reasonable, up to 3 or a family admission would be an ideal benefit.
I've had my b of a credit card for years and never knew about this. What else am I missing out on?

This seemed like a joke. If you want to get your ENTIRE family in:

Call the bank and add each of them as an authorized user on your card. They will mail them a card with their name on it. There you go, now you can thank BofA for everyone ;-)shake head

Now THIS GUY SlickDeals.

Some slight concerns with extending use of my credit line to 3 kids between 6 and 12. But maybe if I add them we can get the cards in time for next year, ahh!

Never knew about this! I have both a Merrill & BOA card. Merrill rewards sent me a notice last week with new perks, including discounts on the purchase of certain cars, like Lexus and Audi.

I heard museums in NYC are pay-as you-wish. Not sure if they still have that . If they do ,then thats the way!
Pay-as-you-wish (at least for the MET and AMNH since those are my goto's whenever I visit NY) have been restricted to local residents of NY, NJ, CT for probably 5+ years now.

Last year, I traveled to Chicago on one of the first weekends and used my BoA card to get into their local art museum and planetarium.

Can I sign up online and show them an email or something if I don't have the card yet?
I showed my account in the app to the ticket booth when I didn't have my card yet, but YMMV.

I used my BofA card in NY museums last summer, and I did get an authorized user card just so my hubby could get in free too! But it is pay-what-you-want, but only for NYC and area residents. The Met has a zillion diff ways to get in free tho -- my daughter got in free with her NY library card!
thats not really a diff way. you cant have your library card if you cant prove your the resident there. i wouldnt call it a diff way to prove who i am with my passport instead of a driver license

Museums are not meant to be taken in like that. You are supposed to view the artwork and slowly take it in.

You dont have to give them card other than to get in to the museum. Plus they will thank you when they turn 18 and have established credit already!

This! ☝️☝️
They inherit your good credit score at 18 (but not your bad, if it's bad).
You'll be loading your cc to their phone ApplePay by middle/high school anyway.

Also we did this when kids were little. They were free under 12 at a lot of places. So we paid nothing.

Actually if you miss a couple payments on your card that will show up on the authorized user credit report. So they don't only inherit the good and not the bad. They get everything which could be dangerous for people not good with money

Thx. I'd met an Experian rep at a conference and she was presenting about credit, so I'd asked her.
Maybe she got it wrong? Or that's Experian's policy …

I did this today and had no problems. Lowkey mention BOA offer or else they think you're a regular who will pay full price.

Does the museum charge your card and then you get a credit back from BOA?
