Question, I got no desire to unlock this phone. I can pay for only a month and discontinue paying for the service with no issues right?

I bought a Moto G Stylus 2023 earlier this year, on a similar deal. Now the login for Metro doesn't work as I didn't pay after the 1st month. Does anyone know if it'll still unlock in 6 months and is there any way to confirm?
The 2024 model looks like it has a bunch of improvements, but this doesn't seem like a deal unless you want to switch to Boost anyway, right?

You have to go to the phone's "about" menu. Click the unlock item in the about menu. Then click the link on that page that saids "permanent unlock". The permanent unlock link will only appear on the 6 month after you activate. I tried looking 2 weeks before the 6 month activation anniversary and it wasn't there. Checked the day of and it shows up. Must be on wifi of course.

My phone didn't unlock by itself like other people have said. At least, I didn't wait long enough maybe. I unlocked up with the clicks I mentioned.
