We're on our second one.
Bought the first one in 2016. Probably around 2019-2020 the convection fan stopped working.
Bought a new one in September 2022, and the fan has stopped working on it as well, probably 5 months ago.
They don't offer a replacement motor. It would be a simple fix if they did. Can't source the motor anywhere else, I've tried.
We're deciding now if we want to keep using it with no convection or try another brand.
2x M3 Nylock nuts
2x M3x18 Machine screws
2x M5 Fender Washers
1x 3/8x11/64x1/8 Nylon Washer Part# 59550-B
Aside from opening the shell of the oven by removing the T10 and P2 screws, unscrew the switch bracket from inside the lower left of the oven - 2 black screws in-between the heating elements - and replace the brass rivets with the M3 screws and nuts. Unscrew the nylon guide roller from the door track and inspect it for wear. It will be unevenly worn down from its original ~10mm diameter. Drill the replacement nylon washer shaft up one size (I think it was to 3/16") to fit the screw you removed, and sandwich it between the two fender washers when screwing back on so the washers sit outside the door track and mimics the original shoulder washer. Buy more nylon washers for when it wears through again.
Also, love mine and often use it as a primary oven. One of my favorite features is setting it for a specific time so it turns off automatically after x minutes. My oven does have a way to do this but it is more complicated so I just don't use the feature.

Bought a new one in September 2022, and the fan has stopped working on it as well, probably 5 months ago.

I knew to search for "door" in the Q&As because Breville ovens in general have an issue with the door switch. There's a fairly easy fix on YouTube for that issue. My door stopped closing properly after using the convection function on the Breville BOV845BSS (that doesn't include air fryer). My unprofessional opinion is that the hot air circulation warped the door. I have this version (BOV900BSS) and use it daily with no problems, but hesitate to use the air fryer function since the heating method is similar to convection.
Also, I would think you would need to clean the oven each time after air frying because of the drippings, which is not the case after simply cooking in a casserole dish or on a baking sheet. If that's true... that counts me out. My personal opinion is, if you have the space and need an air fryer, it may be better to buy separate use appliances (Breville oven and an air fryer) rather than one that tries to do it all.

Also the airfry pan is just a basket with an open bottom meaning that drippings will get all over the heating coil on the bottom (there are coils on the bottom and top, while the fan is on the side). I couldn't immediately find a pan to use as a drip tray in the size needed (i think 12x16) so the work around is to use parchment paper in the basket. I immediately bought a pack of 100 precut at 11x13. This will prevent the drippings onto coils but it prob won't airfry as good since the paper will partially block the heat being circulated from the bottom. (obviously it won't block the heat itself, but it will block the heat being blown around in the air fryer mode)
After this one experience and all the ways that I've figured out to make it work I think i'd probably go with a dedicated air fryer with a large basket at a fraction of the cost, and much smaller kitchen counter footprint.

If you want to crisp things up and cook small amounts of food quickly, I would get an actual air fryer — they are smaller in capacity and basically heat up much faster than this and also is closer to your food so the food gets crisp quicker. It's why if you follow "air fryer" instructions, you will NOT get the results you want.
HOWEVER, if you want a more versatile appliance that you can bake anything you can throw at it — whole chickens, cakes, prime rib, etc etc. this breville is for you. I've owned a reallllllly old version of this for over fifteen years (yes it has lasted that long) and it has basically replaced my oven. Also, I've "air fried" before air fryers ever became a thing — convection ovens have done this forever. It just is t as quick as a smaller, dedicated "air fryer" they sell these days.

The noisy part of our fan seems to be one of the shaft bearings. I suspect they're quite cheap bearings. The outer portion of the fan, which has a second fan/impeller to cool the electronics, was also slightly wobbly. I was able to carefully bend the tines a bit to align things better. It's not as noisy now, but it's not silent, either.
Overall, do NOT expect these units to get serviced by Breville. I imagine they assume it'll be too pricey for people to ship units back for warranty inspections and they'll just avoid dealing with issues through customer service. Customer service will either send back a new/refurb unit to replace the faulty one, or customers will eat the cost and buy another unit.
Knowing what I know now, I won't be buying another Smart Oven.
Got it for $320 - 6% back $300.8
Would have saved $30 waiting for this deal... Oh well..
