Tempted but really don't want to go back to having to use lightning cables again. USB-C version should be coming later this year (though rumored not to have any significant upgrades over this version)

Aren't these over 3 and a half years old at this point? Apple should have released an updated model by now.

Nice. You still get 10% back in total with any Amazon credit card. That takes care of tax and gets you an extra few percent off. Decided to add AppleCare Plus since I read they basically give you a new pair if anything goes wrong in the 2 year period.

Edit: 10% off looks like it's gone it was a limited time offer

Agree with Sonys they're pretty good. I bought my xm3's like 6 years ago and use them when I travel internationally (I'm too scared to travel with the airpod max lol)

Yeah AppleCare Plus gets you a replacement more often than not from what I see online. You can go to the store and they'll try to fix it or give you a new one in the same color. Regular warranty (AppleCare) will have them repair and replace parts on it until it works I think. Two different tiers.

The case isn't required for connectivity. I lost my case about year ago and for some reason I really want it back.

One of the best deals I have seen for these headphones. They are very good (according to most reviews), but too expensive for what they are and very heavy in comparison to other noise canceling headphones. You are basically getting a "New Model Coming Soon" discount. Apple is going to refresh the Max headphones with USB-C according to many rumors. Would definitely recommend to try Sony XM5s. They are super light, and one of the best in biz. And can be purchased a lot cheaper

It's amazing that these are still priced so high. I bought mine, open box excellent, from Best Buy on 10/11/2021 for $385.99 plus tax. They were still brand new in the box, just the box was open with full warranty.

2.5 years later, and new ones are just now hitting that price point is crazy to me.

Stock analysts believe there will be a new version with USB C later this year or the beginning of next year. Current rumors do not point to changes beyond USB C. Lossless audio is unlikely since it's not possible under current Bluetooth standards or an analog connection.

$300 is realistically a fair price at this point considering the age and refresh on the horizon.

I was able to price match with Best Buy using online chat. Because of the size of the price difference they could not do the match automatically and instead processed a refund for the price difference + tax.
