How is it even possible to sell an 85" for less than a grand? QLED no less... I understand it's no premium TV, but I just can't fathom it.
20 years ago I paid 4k for a 50" Plasma. This year I got a 77" Samsung for $1800. 5 months later I could get an 85" for literally HALF that. Crazy.

Second: Nowadays TVs are disposable. 2034 There'll very few individual stating that they have a perfectly working 10~15 year old TV that they gave away to upgrade to something better and updated.

Is the Mini-LED version worth $600 more than this? Should I cancel and order this? Thanks in advance!

Quick google, I found this page that gives an idea :

Theres a chart in there that shows costs of making a 65" TV over time, projected. Looks like the actual material and production costs is like $300. Bet the actual cost to make a 85" is under $500. Note that page is about Samsung and TCL in China maybe even cheaper.
The other costs are indirect cost of sales and such for maybe $100. The other 'depreciation' cost is not really what I think is an actual real cost but the cost to recover their initial investment capital and production. So that figure is probably fungible.

I'd say you're dumb for thinking this, but probably crazy thinking that TCL isn't the 90's Honda Civic of the TV World. They are about 12% of the market share of market, and steadily growing. Highly doubt you get repeat customers or don't have longevity if your TV's are garbage.
