This is so useless. I bought it and it worked for few months. After a month, the door automatically started opening up for some reason. Come to find out that there was a problem in their sensors. So they had to replace it. But so many times the garage door would be open late at night or when we are not at home. I would say use another brand or use those traditional door openers

Couldn't get it to work with T-Mobile Internet even using an additional router connected.

I had so many problems with this. Worked for a bit and broke. Don't waste your time or blood pressure.

I use Meross on my openers. Especially since one is Genie and the other is Chamberlain. Has been working for several years now.

Check out Tailwind. Love the proximity auto open that has my already door opening when I pull in. Robust, well made and highly supported by the inventor owner (he quickly responded to my questions). Not toe only solution, but I got it b/c I didn't want to replace multiple openers. Very happy after 3yrs. https://gotailwind.com

I've had one of these for 3 years and it serves my purposes well. It was easy to expand to cover 2 doors (buy a second kit). I use it to check if my doors are closed from my phone and open them without carrying another thing / using a keypad. It's also useful if you want Amazon to drop off your packages in your garage while you're on vacation/ at work. If I wanted to, I could pay a subscription fee and use it from my car. Rarely mine glitch and don't know if the door is open or closed, but that resolves with a power cycle. I understand peoples complaints, but it's been working well for me.

Not only does this suck, Chamberlain goes out of their way to make sure no one else can make a smart garage door solution except for them.

I have had this unit for a while. My take on it in case you're on the fence: It works... but it's not 100% reliable. Sometimes for no reason it just doesn't work. Eventually though it works but you may need to try several times.

Also to add: Just looked at my invoice I paid basically the same price for it 2 years ago. I wouldn't pay more than $20 for this.

I'm waiting for the Plex deal. Same price, but reposted every time someone gets an email from Plex.

A week ago I changed from this MyQ opener (after 6 years of use) to a Meross unit ($27 on Prime Day [amazon.com]). Totally worth it! No subscription fees for: scheduling open/close times, phone alert if the garage is open for _ minutes (you set), scheduled alert of the status of garage door, and control using Google Home. Search YouTube for many videos of switching from MyQ to Meross.

The MyQ at my house worked flawlessly on an Android phone. The MyQ at my girlfriend's would occasionally stop working on her iPhone.

Man, screw myQ. They were taunting about "smart" garage door opener for decades and promising the integration to automobile. But once they integrated myQ with Tesla, they want me to pay either $45/year or $299 for 10 years.. Or I could simply use myQ app on my phone to do exactly what it does (close/open the freaking door). Oh, they added "close without beeping and flashing" (as an alarm that the door is closing without anyone present) as a feature.. smh

I have been using the MyQ one for years and the removal of Google Home and HomeAssistant integration kinda ruined it. Does anyone have experience with this Meross one and HomeAssistant?

Yes, I've used both. I previously had Meross until I needed to replace my garage door opener. It worked with HA via a custom integration that I think I pulled via HACS. I was able to set up buttons to open the garage door via my phone, smartwatch, and Android Auto.

My new garage door had MyQ built in; it didn't require a subscription. I don't think I could use Meross with it as it uses some sort of security and you can't just short the button. I was also pissed when MyQ broke HA, but it was easy to workaround with a RatGDO and some wires. I'm now back to having all the buttons set up in HA for my phone/watch/car, and I also expose the Device to Alexa to let me control opening/closing (with a password).

Both solutions work; if you already have MyQ, might want to consider just getting a RatGDO.
