All nuts and connections are plastic. Was leaking to begin with, then cracked just by tightening with hand. Pretty garbage.

How can it be your experience if you didn't even install it?

Honestly I don't know why people like this thing, my brother has the one with both the shower and handheld and it's incredibly mediocre with the water not shutting off fully when switching between the two and feels plasticky and cheap.

I am not sure if the first piece at the opening on bottom of the main shower head part is the flow restrictor or just an aerator as shown in the video
'You need to remove the steel retainer and the "X" piece of plastic using this method, or with a small screwdriver. This is just a spacer. You must also remove the actual restrictor, which is beneath the spacer, and includes an O-ring. When you can see all the way into the head (with your eyes), restriction has been eliminated. Hope this helps someone.'

I think I got it. First I pulled out the first piece with the x , then I dug deeper and pulled out this blue plastic cylinder shaped thing, which I think is the restrictor. Not sure if there or more parts I should remove and whether or not it matters if the spacer (since its not a restrictor) to should be put back.

As is , my assessment after using it is to RETURN. Unless I am not removing the restrictor correctly, this shower head is crap - worth maybe $10-$15. Seems like the Moen label was slapped onto Chinese garbage. No offense to the Chnese.

Update: Crap, there was another one of those cylinders down deeper. I could not get it out with a needle nose. I used a mini flathead screwdriver and pried it out. So two plastic cylinders and the disc with the x came out all together. Seems ok, not great but I dont think the pressure is great to begin with at my location. I will try to use it some more . Have a few weeks before I have to drop it off at Whole Foods for a return

Hope it works. It's plastic and nothing to write home about re: materials... but, as I said, the water pressure (with restrictor removed) and the strong magnet are what I love. I hope I didn't steer you wrong.
