The L shape is great when you're actively charging and using your tablet/phone. Over time the standard connection starts to wear out from all the bends if you're using an OEM charging cable
Great for charging in a car since the cable is moved to the side for the driver or passenger.
Agreed. This is exactly what I will use the right-angle for: setting my phone in landscape orientation on the flat ledge in front of the instrument panel, where it's always shaded.

"No officer, I don't know how fast I was going, but it was somewhere between the second and third season of friends"
I wish there were deals on shorter cables.
It seems for every brand's (100 watt and/or right angle) deals are on 6 footers.
That's because there's no point in 100 to 240w cables if it's not long enough to use for a laptop. usually a laptop is on a table and the USB Adapter is on the floor.
But yah I haven't seen many right angle short cables.
There is a big power gap between USB C cables. Its like 100 watt cable, then 240w. Few random ones in the middle but they aren't very common.
There's way too much variances, with all USB standards which just makes them confusing messes. When all the cables get mixed up, which is which? Which one is 240w? which one supports fast data transfer? USB needs better markings (and marking standards) to state these things.
I have these cables and they work great. The braided cables are really stiff. They put a fair amount of torque on the usbc connectors.
If you are referring to the cables mentioned in this post, they are not stiff. I have these cables. If you wanna talk about stiff cables Belkin makes a 10 foot USB-C to lightning that is 3/8 of an inch thick.

I guess you do not have the Apple braided cables. These Anker cables are 10x more stiff than those.

I guess you don't have the Belkin braided cable.
And in your original post you never specified what you comparing the Anker cables to, you just blurted out that the cables were stiff.
And yeah, I do have the Apple braided cable.
The difference is negligible, nothing to make a wave about on the Internet.
Once again, I say, if you want to try stiffeners, try the Belkin cable I mentioned
