I believe you have replied to a wrong post (which should be here)
It takes a T5 screwdriver to remove 6 long and 4 short screws. Had to use a plastic pry tool to unclip the bottom cover after T5 screws were removed.
The screen at full brightness looks the same as a 250-nit screen side by side, even though the spec says 300-nit.

Adding/replacing ram is pretty easy, the hard part is usually opening the back cover. In some laptops you have to pry them to remove the cover.

Dell Inspiron 16 with AMD for $540 with 10% off would have been a much better fit for video editing. That CPU is a beast and has a good integrated graphics: https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/973653
Especially if you have Amex offers to make it more like $400-450.
This is what I have done/tried similarly with my Core-i3-1215U Lenovo laptop. (Lenovo officially saying only support 16GB).
Indeed, Crucial [crucial.com] says that it could take up to 40GB (+32GB).
According to Intel, Core i3-1215U [intel.com] can support up to 64GB memory (but this is also subject to other factors)
