From what they posted, it is going to be a subset of the PS VR2 experience. Not bad as an additional use. But if you are looking primarily for a PC VR rig think the current consensus is to get a PC VR headset.

Gamestop has $25 off $250 if you do in store pickup for pro members ($25 to join). Can use the deal below too to get 10% off gamestop gift cards.

Am I mistaken, or is this an insane deal? (Do I wake up the wife..🤔.)

Can you use this for F1 '24 and GT7 with a wheel?

This system is doomed and has already reached the end of its life cycle in my opinion. The reason is simply because Sony has decided to stop supporting the system with absolutely almost no first party great games being developed for VR. I double down that this system will go the way the PlayStation Vita went down.

PlayStation pretty much said they're not developing any new games for this. But they did release a kit to use it on PC.

Like others have said, GT7 is the crown jewel- its crazy how something like this exists.. just make sure you bring the dramamine.
Arizona Sunshine 2 is also a great pick up.

Got it for $300 from offer-up. I agreed with others. This doesn't worth more than $300, and it will end up like vr1. I'm coming from owning quest 2 & 3.

The disadvantages of vr2 are the annoying cord, limited games, and the controller. Unlike Quest 2/3, vr2 doesn't allow you to play games without using controller.

Anyway, I'm back on using quest 3, not only for gaming, but also to do my work with multiscreen VR, play steam VR, and watch movies.

For $350, I would rather get Quest 3 from offerup which includes additional accessories too.

It is being liquidated, as Sony abandoned it. It is also extremely dated tech,

This is unfortunately accurate. I just picked up a PSVR2 last month when they had the $100 off + 1-year (~$300) Netflix credit and I've been enjoying it, but don't get this expecting much in the way of big titles going forward. After Sony announced the new AstroBot game (which was previously one of the biggest reasons to own a PSVR1) would have no kind of VR support whatsoever it was pretty clear they never intended on supporting PSVR2 past launch.

That said, there's still a decent amount of games on there already and the few big titles there are (RE4, RE8, GT7, No Man's Sky) might be worth it to you at $350. They also started adding VR games to PS Plus Premium (the highest tier) so if you've got that you can already play Humanity, Walking Dead Saints and Sinner 1&2, Synth Riders, Kayak VR, Before Your Eyes, Ghostbusters and I think a couple others. Personally I'm still working my way through RE4 which is pretty mind-blowing as someone who played the GameCube version at launch and replayed it on Wii, XB1 and even the fan remastered version on PC over the years.

With a PS5 compatible wheel, yes you can use this with GT7. As for F1, the game has to be developed to support VR and I don't think the developers for F1 '24 added any PSVR2 support.

Be careful if you get this for GT7 though. After my first drive with the PSVR2 through
the Nurburgring, I fell in love and wound up buying an aluminum profile rig, better wheelbase, shifter, pedals, steering wheels and all the other things I never knew I wanted before.

The fun kind of blinded me on how much I spent on everything but I still take a spin on the Ring almost everyday and have no regrets. I was hoping other racing game developers would come out with some driving games by now but I guess the market share isn't enough for them to bother. Kind of a shame too as I feel like VR takes racing game/simulators to a whole different level.

Also note that if you have psvr games, they are not compatible with psvr2 . You are just better off getting a oculus quest, thr library their will continue to be compatible with future quest releases. With Sony, looks like you will need to upgrade vr console and library every generation
Wow I was way more interested until I saw this... thanks for the heads up- that's a really disappointing lack of backward compatibility there. Can't see legitimate reason why my PSVR Beat Saber shouldn't work on this.

Is this worth it? I looked up popular games and it's the same ones largely available for the Oculus 2. Although GT7 could be legit.
I feel the horizon VR game is pretty good as well.

There are reasons for that which have been explained many times. Mainly an entirely different tracking system.

The last Astrobot game wasn't in VR either. I don't know why people expected any different. Apparently they have two VR games in the works at the moment. The headset is very worth it at this price even with the library it has now, plus it has PC support coming.
