I believe the value is still there if you have both platforms
I have no idea how you can even argue against it in good faith.
Also, I'm not sure the point you're making is a good one. The lack of Astro Bot support (and as you said, the lack of HINT) is pretty indicative of Sony's stance on the PSVR2 platform.
Edit: Nevermind, you're not really talking about this in good faith - just trying to shut down criticism of the PSVR2. I hope Sony is paying you well, lol.
I will say that some of the best VR games are on it, and many of them have the VR mode as a 'freebie' with the original game. Resident Evil 4 VR? Amazing! Resident evil 8 VR? Also great! Gran Turismo? Awesome! Resident Evil 4 (PSVR2) is so much better than Resident Evil 4 (Quest) due to it being the full PS5 Remake Version instead of the older mobile/quest port.
A lot of the PSVR1 content is not compatible -- games need to be updated to take advantage of PSVR2 (basically a full re-do of how the VR works, so not just an easy update). About half of the PSVR1 titles that are PSVR2 compatible seem to be an additional charge to upgrade.
Many of the 'big release' titles ended up pretty disappointing. I can't even tell you what's still on the horizon for the platform, I haven't touched mine in months but play my Quest 3 a few times a week.
Bonuses: The resolution, CPU and OLED screen are much better than the Quest 3. Vibration mode and eye tracking are also great. The lack of pancake lenses hurt it a bit, as its not as clear as it could/should be. No color-passthrough. Tethered to your PS5, and PC VR is coming.. but its an upgrade/accessory.
I want to love it. I do still like it, but most of the games I still play are older ones that just got the VR modes (like Resident Evil 4/8/Gran Turismo) or ones on other platforms (beat saber, tetris, rez, etc..)
It's just hard to justify it. Last time I wrote this, I got shit on by people saying that SONY still had lots of support for it on the way, but I haven't seen anything at all since then. Quest 3 is finally getting exclusives and big titles like Batman: Arkham, whereas I don't see the big stuff coming for PSVR2 yet. Even just throwing more PSVR1 games at it (Resident Evil 7, Rush of Blood) would be great.

The big titles for it are mostly VR versions of existing games (resident evil 4, resident evil 8, gran Turismo), with some exclusives like synapse (?) and the call of the wild.
What other big, exclusive games are still coming for it?
Quest games will generally go on sale much more frequently and have a 2 hour grace period -- game sucks? Get a refund.
Quest also has passthrough in color versus black and white on PSVR2, which leads to some really cool quest3 experiences.
Again, I like my PSVR2, but it's hard to justify it to others when it's effectively "kinda dead". It has some really cool tech in it, I have a lot of fun with it, but it's so much easier to pop a quest headset on instead and play wirelessly -- either stand alone or streaming from my PC games

According to the latest rumor Sony is still working on a couple games. There have been a lot of PSVR 2 games on sale lately. A PSVR 2 at this price + PC adapter is cheaper than a Quest 3 at the moment, and will be a better experience for more serious games. If you only want to play workout stuff and things like Walkabout Mini Golf than the Quest 3 is definitely the better option.

How are you going to shit on the announced upcoming and already released titles (and tons of big sales), yet hype PSVR2 for "According to the latest rumor Sony is still working on a couple games"?
I still own my PSVR2, but most of the games I play are multiplatform and just easier to jump into on the quest3. There are very few exclusives, and no current PCVR support.
I'd love for more PSVR2 support from Sony, but I'm not going to sit around and get hyped over rumors of a couple games maybe coming out at some point
