I have a PS4, not a PS5. Is this new headset backwards compatible? I am mostly interested in watching 3D movies.
Unfortunately, it is not backwards compatible.

Another PS Vita that Sony is going to or already abandoned for those of us who remembered.

It's been purported that Sony is reducing their PSVR2 support. Cutting funding and not many games out there, as much as you'd expect anyway.

I have one and as great as it is, I have limited game options.

I sold my PSVR2 a few weeks back on Ebay. I found the software to be less compelling than the original PSVR. Given Sony's lack of committment to it, I found no reason to keep it lying around since it was just collecting dust. The only thing I'm interested in is Metro Awakening. Thankfully, that's also playable on PC VR headsets. Sony seems even less interested in supporting PSVR2 with compelling first-party software than they were with the Vita. At least that got a few years of support before handing it off to third-parties. PSVR2 was essentially DOA.

That is what Amazon does. See the prices from other stores and match the price.

If you already have a PS5 and $350 to blow, I would get it. GT7 with VR and a steering wheel is a wild experience. Horizon is really neat, but my family REALLY loved playing Moss and Moss 2. VR is really cool at first, and then it just gets old and sits there gathering dust until someone new comes along. The only exception to that is Beat Saber. I'll play that all day long. The Kayak game is probably the best game to introduce people to VR. I was really hoping to get support for YouTube 3D, but now that the hardware has been mostly abandoned, that will probably never happen.

For me, the odd thing about VR is that it is awesome for the first 30 minutes and then the 3D effect starts to disappear. So, I keep my game time to less than an hour.

Made no sense why they released this once again without a solid list of games.

Xbox does the same crap with kinect.

One of the thing I love about the PSVR 1 was that I can connect anything to it through HDMI and have it act like a personal movie theater, is anybody able to connect Xbox to the PSVR 2?

It has a solid list of games... well over 200 now. Including many funded by Sony. People just have deluded expectations of what would be released. Sony isn't even putting many games out for the PS5 right now.

Is this worth it? Any decent kids games for it? I know there's an astronfornitz but us it any good?
Not worth it. It's on sale for a reason. PlayStation has just about stopped supporting it. There are hardly any games for it, certainly not many new games

I've been playing mine regularly since launch, hasn't gotten old yet. It's also getting PC support in a couple weeks.

Not my experience at all. There are really only a few decent games that hold up on the original PSVR. Overall the PSVR 2 has a much better library. With the PSVR 2 getting PC support on a couple weeks this would be a good time to get one if you don't already have a headset.

I have a PS5 and have been wanting to get this. In fact, since I have a $100 gift card for Amazon I checked it yesterday and was contemplating at $519. I just ordered it here, and then cancelled it. I know I'd play it for several hours and then it will just sit on the shelf and gather dust.
