https://youtu.be/P5_DLz2dpV8
The laptop in the video has a 7600S which is 10-15% slower than this laptop which has a 7700S.

OK. Then the guy is running the game dota2 in the wrong mode. I found another video where very high fps is achieved with Vulkan mode. I also ordered one now Smilie Thx

This laptop has amazing battery life. Over 12 hours of web browsing before it runs out. If you need an inexpensive gaming laptop that can run for a long time away from an outlet(college students, for example), this is ideal.

I won't buy a Dell Laptop. There are so many issues with the stupid power supplies having detection problems, of which I own 2. Don't get a new Dell. Get any other Brand and just worry about the components instead of the stupid power supply.

Did you also have issues with web browsers pausing the machine for 30-90 seconds at times? I describe it that way as you can't press Ctrl+Alt+Delete until it recovers, but it's not locked up as audio will still play. Super weird. I did not have that issue until Diablo 4 required me to update the video driver. Perhaps I could have downloaded one from Asus, but I went straight to AMD.

I had to disable Freesync in Adrenaline in order to get it to work the way it should. Hopefully a new driver will address this someday. My only complaint with this laptop. I use it to play games all the time and the fan is a little loud, but I don't mind that myself. I would rather it last longer than be quiet.

So this looks like a good deal. I need to get my daughter a laptop and she's not giving me any help in what she wants, except she wants a 16" screen, and the one she's replacing, she likes how clear the video is. She also uses it for conference calls for work, and is not much of a gamer.. I don't really know much else.
So I have no info Frown
I was looking at this one: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/la...82yn0010us
After codes/military dis. and 3 yr premium care plus, the total would be $828.
Would this be as good as the Asus one here? After adding the care package it would be a similar price.
I'd appreciate any help.. despite the lack of info.

If she does not game much there is really no need for a laptop like this since it is catered to gamers which means it is likely heavier and will run hotter than a laptop which is geared towards productivity (zoom, YouTube, email, web browsing, etc). Also the laptop you linked is a 2 in 1 so you can use it as a laptop and a tablet which may be a feature she would like to have. If screen quality is most important, the screen will be much sharper and brighter on the Lenovo as compared to this Asus.

Thank you so much! I decided to get the Lenovo, and also found an e-coupon for another $39 off which took care of most of the taxes. I think the price was good, I hope lol.
And I agree that she would like the 2 in 1 feature. She draws too, and although I don't know if it's something she would do on the laptop, she has the option to if she wants.
