I gotta stare at this for a while and see if there is a way to finagle an install on my fitness reality rack.
I have the fitness reality rack, i can answer this.

The balancefrom lat pulldown rack attachment WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT SOME MODIFICATIONS. Simple due to how the balancefrom one attaches to the rack, it is different. The bottom crossmember on the fitness reality does not have the same holes to secure. Sure you can make it work, but you will need to drill your own holes. Not even sure about the height either but you can always use some blocks if its too short, cut the tube down if its too tall, etc..

If you have the fitness reality rack, you want the ProGear rack attachment. Right now its $$, but I bought it in February for $100, and it does go on sale so I would wait for that. It attaches directly to the fitness reality rack seamlessly.

Thanks. That looks identical to the actual Fitness Reality version which is also $$$ right now. I've had a CCC alert for a while but it hasn't went off yet. I'm going to see how wide the bottom attachment piece is and I believe I'm going to try and fashion a 2x4 or even a 4x4 cross member on the bottom part of the frame on the backside, opposite of the front angled rack connection.

That's as far as I've gotten in my head before actually having it in hand! Not sure how it will run vertically with those angled rear cross tubes of the Fitness Reality rack. Best case scenario its nice and tight and I can lag those in as well... which I'm sure it's not and it's going to be more headache than it's worth.

total noob question what seat would work well for this rack with this attachment ???
For doing rows on the bottom, you just want a mat on the floor and there are places for your feet on the cage. For lat pulldowns, you will need a bench that fastens to the cage (or a pulldown leg holder) to do heavy pulldowns, but check the weight limit on the attachment. If not doing heavy pulldowns (not heavier than you weigh), you could use about any bench. If you do not have a secured bench, a heavier weight will lift you off of the bench. Commercial gyms have pads to put your thighs under so the weight does not lift you out of the seat.

Or, as someone on Reddit helpfully pointed out, you can use your barbell with weights on it if you don't have a leg bar/don't want to buy one.

This is a great deal. I have this and have loaded over 100lb and works great. I did put spread wd 40 on the bar after setting it up because without it it sticks in places, but after its smooth all the way through

anyone know if you can make this shorter? like can you cut the post for lower ceilings / lower racks?
Yes I bought the rack and lat pull. Didn't fit in my office with short ceilings. Had to chop 4 inches off the rack itself and the lat pulldown roll bar then drill new holes. Works great though

I've used a lot of gym equipment. An I can tell ya most of it is shaped different. You are gonna wanna find exact measurements. Not just diameter an length but hole position. An the hole placement is probably UNLISTED.

So being a shopping veteran of so many decades; I'd like to tell you don't waste your time. Propritery crap is one of these corporations greatest money makers
I ordered it last week to try and force with my REP rack but after reading this I think I'll just return without opening. Too much pain in the neck.

The 2" sleeves are held in with a set screw. Loosen and slide them off, 1" works. I set mine up a couple of weeks ago.
Awesome! Thanks for the info...mine should be delivered today, and that's the first change I'll make.

IF YOU BOUGHT THIS, MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THAT THE NUTS/BOLTS IN THE DOUBLE PULLEY (part 7) ARE FULLY TIGHTENED!

The double pulley comes pre-assembled so it might have been a quality control miss for my package where the nut was only hand tightened.
Safety first so check it before you wreck it!
Happy lifting!

Is wd40 good for this set? The pulley is plastic and the cable wrapped with rubber(maybe)

I think he was referring the bar as the steel rail that the roller with weights goes up and down on and not the pulley's. You can use whatever lubricant you have on hand for the steel rail or pulley's to enhance the smoothness of the movement. I would recommend silicone lubricant over regular WD-40 for a smoother gliding without attracting as much dust/dirt/grime which may accumulate over time. I used Blaster silicone spray bottle that works on plastic, rubber and metal.
