@c2nah777 said: I only brought up the discrepancy as a warning based on purchasers' having false expectations, due to the original post claiming IPS- based on the picture on the product page claiming IPS. Not OP's fault originally, but people were getting duped. OP knows this and still has not edited it out of their title. No idea why they didn't make the the time to fix their title.

Check classic view> Thread view to verify what I am saying. It does not appear in the Redesign view, since it got promoted to FP and edited by mods out of their revised title. But it is still as it was at this time. See att.
I agree every laptop thread has complainers. No one laptop will satisfy everyone. Big crowd looking, all have their checklists, and they vary greatly. Compromise is the key. So we set must haves, won't haves, price range, and pick one that we think is nailing it or close enough to compromise on something. We all know this and it is not shoppers' faults they have different wants and needs. The pros and cons they point out in the threads help others quite often as well.
Also, you can see the SD Moderator has omitted this false claim even though the OP still has not removed it from their title after having been advised

But in my opinion, this is overkill for an older person's gift. They wouldn't need this much in specs. I'd get them a cheaper one. But if you don't mind the cost, they should love it.
Feel free to point out a <$400 laptop with a display that's brighter than 250 nits, though. I don't think I've seen one.

I just set mine up because they did not get it canceled in time. Nice other than the mediocre screen.
Another negative for me, being used to num pads, is that their zero key is not where I am accustomed to. I keep hitting the decimal point key. I will give it a tryout.
Also intel is playing sinister game with naming of its processors. This intel 120u is based on older alder lake series.
