Got this the other week when it was on sale in Excellent used condition for $649.

My requirements were 14" Oled + Backlit Keys + 16gb Memory + Whatever Processor because I won't be gaming on it + 1TB and this fit the bill. As far as 14in oled's I don't think youll find a better deal right now considering the specs and screen (At least for the price I got it for). Been searching for quite a while.

Came flawless. I am convinced the laptop was never even taken out of its protective covers everything felt factory and nothing out of place. Must have been some quick buyers remorse return.

Quick and snappy. Its a supplemental work laptop which performs great. I wanted oled to watch movies in the evenings and im pretty pleased with it. Only 60hz but doesn't bother me. I will wait later on to get something more advanced as I just don't think the tech is where it should be yet at a reasonable price. For me, $650 was a good buy for a 14in oled zenbook with these specs. I am not interested in spending any more than that, nor do I need anything more than the specs provided. I have a gaming rig so I won't be gaming on this.

Webcam quality is great, better than my external 1080P ones. Backlit keys were a must and these have them, only in white, no RGB. Typing is comfortable. I own a 2021 Zenbook Duo which I gave to my gf and while this laptop is quality, the older zenbook duo is definitely on another level as far as quality and craftsmanship.

Display is PLENTY bright. I never put this thing on 100% its just too bright for me lol. At night I usually have it at about 60% brightness max. Trying to watch almost anything at 100% in the dark strains my eyes and due to the size of the screen you're probably going to be watching quite close. Even during the day in my house with a ton of windows, it is never 100% brightness. Maybe 80% max. So I would say, brightness is a non issue indoors. I will probably never use this outdoors so I can't comment on that. I am sure the glossy display would be annoying outside.

I rarely use the touch screen but its quite responsive. No issues. I have almost zero use for the 180 degree lay-flat hinge except for when I was laying on the couch the other day. I stood the laptop up on my belly with the screen flat and watched some youtube LOL. Belly prop works good.

Windows hello works good, not great. It sometimes takes a second or so more to recognize me. There was one time it did not and I had to enter my pin. But not a big deal

Fans are quiet. I do not push this laptop in any way aside from a ton of chrome tabs, several word and pdf's plus maybe a video playing in the background or on a portable screen next to it. For my use case its pretty quiet.

negatives:
1 The exterior of the laptop is unlike most of the zenbooks that you have seen last year and this year. It lacks those cool line patterns. Its much more plain with simply ASUS on the back. So if you want that more brand new look you're not getting that here. I am not entirely sure why that is. I'm okay with it. Not as if anyone actually cares what your work laptop looks like. Would have been sweet if it had that nice new design though.

2. Most of the inputs are on the right side so if you're using a mouse or anything else on the right, they that can get in the way.

3. As mentioned before, I was sort of spoiled by the build quality of the my 2021 zenbook duo. This feels much more fragile or maybe the metal is thinner. Definitely much lighter. I bumped it against my portable monitor and it left an indention on the edge of the monitor lid. Meh oh well.

I would def take the gamble to get a deeper discount. Sorry for the rambling post I just wanted to quickly spit out my experience with this laptop.

Price dropped for BB Plus or Total members to $699.99.

Open box prices are stupid high -- $692 for OB-Excellent. Heck I can get brand new for $699. Confused

I just bought this. First Zenbook. To be honest, the build quality is excellent to me. Very solid. Love the color (sort of a gunmetal grey). I've not had an Asus have really bad quild quality, but have only bought Vivobooks and a few Creator Q540's and this Zenbook seems a step up from them. Completely happy and might buy another while on sale!

I also didn't find the OLED display to be fuzzy or have any issues. For a 1200p 14" screen, I thought it was great. Of course, I like the 2.8K screen on my Q540 more, but definitely nothing bad stood out on this.
Just to follow up, I went and bought another since the price dropped to $699. While setting it up, I noticed a very irregular flickering on the display on bright backgrounds. I did not notice it on the first one I bought. Took it back to BB for exchange and the exchange laptop does it also. Weird. It's not super-noticeable, but it is there. Not sure whether to keep this exchange or just return it and find something else. (did all the updates and firmwares and drivers, but issue persists).

Talk about bad luck. I haven't experienced that. But now I will look out for it..
