If you buy any Samsung drives (SSD, USB, Memory Cards, etc.) I would recommend downloading and installing "Samsung Magician" from the Samsung website:

https://semiconductor.samsung.com...ort/tools/

You can use that software to verify if it is a genuine/authentic Samsung drive, or counterfeit.

There used to also be one called "Samsung Memory Card/UFD Authentication Utility" that validated authenticity, but that one is not on the Samsung tools site anymore. I think it has been replaced by Samsung Magician.

So many counterfeits out there these days, I always test Samsung now. Especially if bought from places like Amazon and eBay.

Gets lost easily. Wish they had colorful ones.

It should also be USB 3.2.

Weird, because I've seen people on previous posts saying these and the Fit Plus models are the fastest flash drives. They should be making USB 4.0 flash drives by now...

USB 3.0 is 625 Megabytes per second. This writes at about 60.

So this is 10% as fast as 3.0. Let alone 3.1, 3.2, 4.0, whatever. The USB speed spec is a lie when it comes to flash drives.

Gen 1 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, are all synonymous, zero difference. USB 3 Gen 1/Gen 2 is the speed difference, doubles speed. There are very few USB 3 gen 2 flash drives out there. Likely because gen 1 drives get hot enough as is. USB 4 is synonymous with TB 3. A thunderbolt 3 speed flash drive is overkill for 99.9% of people.
