A stationary deployment makes it easy to plan for utilization, mobile deployments mean you have to capacity plan for endpoints moving around (added cost). Marine use means that rather than the signal going up to the satellite and back down to the hubsite it may have to bounce from one sat to the other before coming back to the hubsite. This seems to be why there is delineation in the pricing structure. I could be mistaken.

Am I understanding correctly that there's also a promotion where Starlink gives you a $200 service credit when you purchase from a third party retailer? If so, this seems extremely slick. Effectively $100 for the equipment.

Is the one at Best Buy the same Gen? Pictures and what's included "gen 3 router" etc. appear to be the same but best buy has a slightly different title and original price of 599.

Starlink is $120 a month for the standard package. I hgot it because I do not have access to cable, fiber or even DSL. Our old wireless provider charged $100 a month for about 7mbps and with starlink I get over 300mbps. It is NOT for people who have access to landline based internet providers as they should still be cheaper and more reliable.

Anyone know what the limitations are with the mini-roam package? Can you purchase that individually for $50 per month? I'm wanting this for when I'm camping off grid and need internet access. Would that work? Looks like you can pause this service.
