Definitely get the Pro if you're going to drop the cash for a Shield. This tube version can't run 64 bit apps and is notably less powerful.

FireTV lose the steam after two generations. Becomes very slow.

You can very easily side load apps to a shield as well. This isn't an advantage of fire sticks. Really any android streamer lets you side load.

Yeah I get that... what saying is for the money your paying, for most use cases firetv in my opinion, is the better option.

Settled on GTV ccast. Faster than TiVo 4k also.
