Definitely get the Pro if you're going to drop the cash for a Shield. This tube version can't run 64 bit apps and is notably less powerful.

I have an OG Shield too..

FireTV lose the steam after two generations. Becomes very slow.

dude android based / shield is the best for that kind of stuff, you can literally put whatever you want on it

You can very easily side load apps to a shield as well. This isn't an advantage of fire sticks. Really any android streamer lets you side load.

Yeah I get that... what saying is for the money your paying, for most use cases firetv in my opinion, is the better option.

If you like poor performance and having an ad riddled experience fire sticks are great

I stopped using fire devices. Have a bunch of them.
Settled on GTV ccast. Faster than TiVo 4k also.
