Will the stereo 70s be a noticable difference in sound quality from my current Yamaha RX6VA?. I have both Infinity R263 towers and JBL Studio 530.
Yes they will sound different, which one you prefer is a personal choice.

Either one of those will drive those speakers just fine.

Good example on how judging sound performance based on specs is often pretty inaccurate.

Man Marantz is paying SD a lot of money for this to stay on the front page.

I wouldn't be surprised if any Marantz boosters roam these threads but sometimes they can't get out of their own way. Here's a YT video where all they do is reinforce stereotypes and the "Black Magic" mystique of their products. I think even their sales folks would try to avert customer eyes after such a video!

(my favorite part is about the 2:00 mark)
Marantz makes a great product but are nowhere near as truthful in US marketing as overseas (probably the reason why the Marantz pricing is much closer to the Denon equivalent overseas)!

It's also sad the Cinema 70s has rather poor measurements (not talking about the output power). Otherwise, it would be a great "preamp" upgrade if someone has a system with existing amplifiers and just wants 4k/120, 8k etc.

The Cinema 70s is fairly low on the Marantz totem pole. It's a niche product and it's best selling point is the slim form factor!

Nice! You got one of the few separates worth buying these days!
yeah lucked out big time! I guess they only had a few of them, as I went back to check and it was OOS. I wasn't sure if i wanted the amp though. spending another 5k was a bit too steep.. so I ended up going monolith.

Do you know which receiver would be able to power these MartinLogans:

2 x F100
1 x C100
2 x MP10
2 x B100

Thanks!

Those are listed only needing a minimum of 20 watts so as long as you have 7 channels they should be able to power them.
Since they are 4/5ohm, if you listen at higher levels you may want more power.

What are you using to drive them now?

Right now I am in the process of buying them so don't have any setup at the moment. I was thinking if cinema 50 would be right fit. I plan on having a tv and ust projector as well as part of the setup

The 50 should have no problem driving those speakers.
It may struggle if you listen at very high levels but that's what pre outs are for.

Whether it's a right fit for you sound wise, you would have to listen to it to find out imo.
Personally having auditioned it, it's a good AVR especially if you like/prefer their sound signature.

To add: if you're ok with refurb $1499 for the 50 is a great price for it!

Would you recommend the Cinema 50 or Denon X3800H?

I don't mind waiting either if you think around black friday we will see better prices for new unit that have the larger warranty period
