Good example on how judging sound performance based on specs is often pretty inaccurate.

Marantz makes a great product but are nowhere near as truthful in US marketing as overseas (probably the reason why the Marantz pricing is much closer to the Denon equivalent overseas)!

Since they are 4/5ohm, if you listen at higher levels you may want more power.
What are you using to drive them now?

It may struggle if you listen at very high levels but that's what pre outs are for.
Whether it's a right fit for you sound wise, you would have to listen to it to find out imo.
Personally having auditioned it, it's a good AVR especially if you like/prefer their sound signature.
To add: if you're ok with refurb $1499 for the 50 is a great price for it!

I don't mind waiting either if you think around black friday we will see better prices for new unit that have the larger warranty period
