If you have any desire to get an iPad (and you don't have any higher-end specific needs), this is a bargain.

For $200, you can run virtually any iPad application or iPhone application. It's an entirely capable device -- there's nothing "wrong" or poorly constructed with this model. Yes, other models have nicer features -- but they come at additional costs.

It's also relatively newish -- only one generation removed from current. So you'll get a few years of use out of it before Apple end-of-lifes it, just to get you to "upgrade".

This ipad plus one of those cheap android tracfones (even if you don't activate them on cellular) will give you the ability to run pretty much any mobile application available.

There are frequent sales on 13" M1 Macbook Airs (they are a 4 year old machine at this point), as well as sales on refurbished Dell business-class laptops (8th gen intel and later). For around $1000, you can get one device of each platform. No excuse to not be able to get anything done.

Wow what a deal. I know, it from 2021 and 64GB however it is perfect for internet browsing and social media consumption which is for 90% of folks out there.

Headphone jack and a home button are nice too!

Are you joking? Only $20 savings for an open return that is in fair condition is a fool's savings. Can get $10 off just with a target card.

Can you describe what is the $125 gift card deal?
There's a $10 off $75 Discover card deal for those that use at least $.01 from their discover cashback for spending more than $75. So that's why you are getting $10 off.

You are still paying the $125 in Gift card but you get 5% cashback on the Amazon Credit Card instead of the 1% from Discover. You will earn $5 more in cashback following my method. if the formulas below doesn't help, math is hard, it's a good deal to go with either method.

Deal I am proposing : $125 Amazon Gift Card (5%) + $75 (Discover 1%) - $10 = $190 + tax.= at 3.5% cashback or about $7 in cashback.
Vs existing deal: $200 (Discover 1%) - $10 = $190 + Tax at 1% cashback or $2 in cashback.

64gb??? My 256gb iphone is running out of storage
This is not a fair comparison, how much was your iPhone? This deal is clearly not for everyone. for kids that use iPad for streaming and checking emails, this is more than adequate. this is not for Video Editing for sure.

Saw this ...

For those of you who are purchasing at Target, and need a case/keyboard combo, I got a great deal on the Logitech Slim folio keyboard from 199 down to 99.99 and then an extra 50% to 49.99.

https://www.target.com/p/logitech...A-82869811

You will see the final price of 49.99 in the cart. Solid deal and I just snapped it on my fresh 199 iPad 9th gen.

lol i've been using mobile bank for like 3 years... it's fine buddy.. lmfao. take the tin foil hat off. as long as you're not doing sus things on your phone.. youre fine.
Or I just use a desktop web browser -- I can take screenshots easily, I can use the full web interface without any mobile exclusions or quirks or bugs, and there's better security inherently on a fully supported web browser.

I really need something more has than 64gb at this price. My kids still has 16gb with the OS we probably have couple gigs left over which is not enough for Roblox and games. The iPad still in good physical condition the storage is just terrible . This is why my head is turning toward galaxy A9+

I'm trying to talk myself out of buying this and iPad cover keyboard combo for $50 [target.com]. What do y'all think?
  • iPad mini 7th generation is what I'd like to own but:
It hasn't been announced or released yet
Cost, it will probably start at $399+
  • iPad 9th generation - Ideally I'd like 256GB, more dreaming, if this was $250 @ 256GB it would be a no brainer.
  • iPad 10th generation - I'd like to have USB-C, more RAM and be more future-proof but that costs more.

With BF/CM around the corner (102 days) I might buy this and consider trading in at Best Buy which offers $165 [bestbuy.com] as of today 8/19/2024. Assuming the trade in value remains consistent that's only $35 to effectively rent this iPad for almost 4 months.

Is my logic sound, what am I missing?

For those with appropiate cards that save $: Amazon card 5% off or Costco 4% off ...which route Amazon or Costco are you experts going? Costco for the return policy alone?
Amazon return policy is especially bad for apple products. It's not obvious from the sell page but its usually 14 days instead of 30 days. Definitely go with costco for 90 if you have the choice.
