It's the main thing keeping me on windows. $400 for extra 256GB of SSD and 8GB of RAM when brand name parts would only cost like $60 combined at retail.

I think everyone hates it. Lenovo for example starts with 16/512GB minimum and charges $114 to upgrade to 32/1TB. I also don't like that Air laptops come with cheap outdated 60Hz screens.

if you do not mind the weight of MBP 14, grab the $1500 MBP m3 pro.

I personally purchased the m3 air 13 inch 16GB 256GB, and I will upgrade the internal SSD to 1TB or 2TB once my warranty expires.Big Grin

you can desolder the ssd I guess with moderate difficulty? I thought it was very difficult

I can only do simple DIYs and will ask a professional to do this for me.

Everything is inside the cpu ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ you cannot do any upgrades other than changing your laptop sleeve.
