Best MBP 14" with M3 Pro chip deal I've seen. If you need an Apple laptop now, jump on this deal asap. If not, wait for the M4/M4 Pro MBP coming at the end of this year.
Anyone know if Costco normally matches these offers? I know it's not policy but just wondering if they normally follow the sales...I have gift cards I need to use (so have bought the Air M3 for same price but can return). Thanks!
Nope, they don't do any price matching that I know of.
Yeah, I think I'm going to hold off. Even with $55 in gift cards and $65 in rewards after purchase it's just not much of an upgrade. The only thing I'd be getting is a computer that has better trade in value down the road.
I would've bought it a couple of weeks ago. Florida was tax free for computers 1500 or less. I'll just wait to see what the m4 pros have to offer. I don't mind paying more if the specs are worth it.
traded in a bunch of older Apple stuff, their returns are ridiculously high. They offered $360 for an M2 Mini that you can frequently find here for $399 new.
Not all things Apple have a great trade-in. Out of curiosity I checked their trade-in offer on an M1 Mini with 8GB/512GB.... $135.
That's a silly reason to buy a new laptop. That's the sentence that matters the least. The difference he would lose on selling the m1 pro to upgrade to the M3 pro would probably not be worth it for most people as you wouldn't see much of a difference in real world applications

This is certainly a great deal. I would argue that the 14" M3 Max / 1TB / 36GB was better, a few months ago (MicroCenter, specific store price, but many of us were able to get BB to price match using the local BB, and then change pick-up store to our local store(s)). I think a decent number of people were able to pull it off. Took several attempts. Maybe not the most fair comparison. This deal requires zero work. Just need to buy it. The MC price match required time, effort, and multiple price-match attempts, etc. But in terms of straight $$/features/value perhaps the M3 Max deal comes out ahead.
~$3,200 (pre tax) machine for ~$2,300 before tax. Insane. I already had a 14" M1/16GB/1TB. Didn't care, bought the M3 Max. Was too good to pass up. Machine will be relevant for 5 years easily, and will kick ass while doing so. Still haven't sold the M1 . 10 months of crAppleCare left on it. Should probably sell it soon.

Going to attempt to get $100 back from Best Buy since I paid $1599, but I bought it in person and used trade-ins for gift cards, so I anticipate this is going to be too complicated for me to care
Did you input your account info when you bought it in store? If so it'll show on your online account and would be an easy support chat to price match. I just got my price match done successfully.
This is an amazing deal just a few days ago we had a 1499 m2 pro laptop and today it's the m3 pro. That being said I'm still sitting on my 14 inch M1 Pro and it's more powerful than anything I could need it for. Not need an upgrade perhaps three four years down the line.
There's always a better chip around the corner but I think the M4 is worth the wait. Should be available in 2 months if rumors are accurate. The M3 is on a dead end expensive node and it's evident Apple wants to get off it quickly with the iPad, and Mac desktops(except iMac) skipping it. I wouldn't be surprise if MacOS support would also be shorter than usual for the M3 in the future due to lack of devices with this chip.
M4 has double the neural core performance vs M3, the first M series chip utilizing Arm v9, and LPDDR5X ram. Apple might've also fix the hardware vulnerability leaking encryption keys on previous M series chips, too. If you're already spending more than a grand on a laptop and waited this long might as well sit for 2 more months. It's not like the price is going to be higher for M3 Pros after the M4 Pros come out.

I got a used m1 pro 14", 512 SSD, 16 GB RAM a few days ago for $1000. No warranty (coverage expired). In pretty great condition, no blemishes, battery at 94%.
I can get this m3 pro for $1550 after rewards. Is it worth jumping on it? For context, I use it for software development, hobbyist blender and art creation.

Also, if you have the Best Buy credit card, check your offers section for $100 back if you spend $1000. Essentially making this $1399 which is nuts.
Anyone think it'll go lower after m4 announcement or release? This is $600 off already, which is unprecedented for apple products not on clearance.
