Careful, it's still only 9 channel processing, it can't do more than 7.2.2/5.2.4, regardless of available pre-outs.
There's a new and free player in the calibration world.

It's a remarkable improvement over straight Audyssey. You do need to buy the $20 MultEQ app to use it but man is it worth the effort.

When compared to the Onkyo rz50 or Denon 3800H? Assuming all are at $700.
The only think I think this one misses for me is being 9.2 vice 11.2 capable (even if it needs a second amp for the second Atmos set). Denon lacks Dirac.

Nice. Integra is a premium subdivision of onkyo. I use one of their older dtc 9.8 processors for my 5.2 tannoy vxp setup

Denon 3800 doesn't lack Dirac. It's has Dirac capability. It's a paid add on.

$700 for the 3800 would be a steal imo.
As someone pointed out, it doesn't lack Dirac it's a purchase option.

It also gives you the purchase option of the other half of Dirac(DLBC) which this nor the RZ50 does not.

You would have to jump up to the DRX8.4/RZ70 to get it for those.
You do get pretty much all the features those have on the 3800.

The included Audyssey on the 3800 isn't too shabby on its own and with the added options available.
You may not even need to purchase Dirac, nice to have the choice though imo.

Which makes the X3800 hundreds of dollars more than the unit in this thread equipped comparably.
Several hundred dollars more in purchase price plus the Dirac license plus the needed calibration mic

Possibly getting close to an RZ70 type of spend at about $2K ...and that unit is far more capable

To my ears...having owned multiple Audyssey equipped units and multiple Dirac units in my home...you will want to buy the Dirac license that has to be purchased for the Denon

A newbie question. What is Dirac? I could google it, but should it be a must for normal home users?
Thanks.

This or rz50? Only difference I can see are 120w vs 100w. And 11vs 9. Rz50 states 40gpbps over hdmi is this true for the Integra too?
