Home Depot has the same model with additional 10% off (https://www.homedepot.com/p/CUCKO.../331575553).

I'm wondering how it compares to the one on FP (https://www.homedepot.com/p/CUCKO...a1uW1smSs0).

Someone replied in that FP thread that the other (assuming this one) was made in China vs South Korea

As other user already mentioned, this one is made in China. You can go on Cuckoo's main website and they actually list which models are made in China vs made in Korea.

In this case, here is the model in the slickdeal: CR-0365FW [cuckoousastore.com]

6-cup red [cuckoousastore.com] made in China.

3-cup red [cuckoousastore.com] made in Korea.

Almost bought it off Home Depot but glad I looked through the comments first. Obviously, at the end of the day, you're still going to get something that will cook your rice. However, the consistency and quality will differ. There's a reason the top brands that are always named (Zojirushi, Cuckoo, and Tiger) are made in Japan/Korea.

If you're going to buy this, might as well go even cheaper and buy a $20 Aroma or some other brand made in China.

So you're saying cuckoo's engineers suck?
Once they move production to China then the quality sucks?

So almost all Apple products are made in China.. does that mean they suck?

I actually have this model and has been working well since I bought it (>2.5 years old).

Both are excellent for conserving arsenic and ensuring that it is reabsorbed.

Really? And that's why they're one of the most valuable company in the world. Ok...

Ask the Chinese what they would prefer. Go to ICN airport and see them carting truckloads of these home, or HK crossing dragging baby formula home.
