Have one from a previous deal. The RGB is kind of obnoxious if you don't want it, but there's a button to turn it off completely. Performance is good and never had an SSD drop/disappear randomly like I've had with numerous other enclosures.

I mean, most of the time the OS doesn't know how long a transfer is gonna take. Hoping a significantly lower-cost-of-development item to know what *the OS doesn't* is a lost cause.

Not really but are you sure it only supports 10? 3.2 alr supports 20.
