Excellent router.
I have been rockin it since launch.
This will not be for everyone but if you have a 10gb backbone and doing stuff like game streaming then this will fit that niche.

Well it certainly looks like a router that's going to give you cancer, that's how you know it's powerful. Big Grin

Way too expensive. I paid under $100 for a TP-Link Tri-Band 7 Stream AX3200 Wi-Fi 6 Wireless Router

And it has been more than enough for gaming.
my tp link 11000 is ugly as shit tho. this one looks nicer lol. but yeah holding what I got. it has free lifetime firewall/homelink stuff

I'm over consumer routers. Overpriced and underspec'd. Save your money and buy a true firewall like Firewalla with an external 6E AP.

These have 10Gb ports, so this router was never for you anyway.

Unless you're on municipal fiber or signed up with some experimental ISP, there's no way you're paying under $200 a month for 10Gb internet.

As it is, I'm on 2Gb fiber and this is the first off the shelf router to dip below $500 that might actually work for my setup.
Lol all this hype about the 10GB is not for the internet speed. It's for having that capacity but networking using like LAN as in network such as between computers. I think even the spec sheet says max you can get using 5 GHZ is like 4gb or something.

Just an FYI this has ASUS merlin support if that matters to you. I've been using it for a while and it works really well with Merlin software on it. Dual 10gb with a 2.5gb port and 4 1gb..

It looks like there is room for at least 1 more antenna on this device

I went with this router because it is the ideal combination of everything. 2.4 band, 2x 5HGZ band, and the 6Ghz band. I only have a couple devices that run on the 6G band so needing dual 5G is far more important for quite a while. This also has 10 and 2.5 wired ports so I have a full wired mesh running my full speed 1.4Ghz Comcast plan. I use two of the AX11000 as my mesh Nodes for now which is perfect because they have a single 2.5G port each. Where my nodes are I don't need the 6Ghz band. Wifi7 is overpriced, overrated and under utilized. I paid this same price back in February so it doesn't seem like it will go lower anytime soon.

Like I said, an experimental ISP.

The symmetrical 8 is sketchy, by the way.

EDIT: Nevermind, you not only doxxed yourself by this ISP only existing in one city, but there's no such plan. Their residential 1Gb/40Mb plan is $65 and there appears to be a data cap.
Check their site or call them. They've also expanded into more markets

There's a city in the south that offers anyone 10Gb fiber for $299/month or even better 25Gb fiber for the low price of $1,500/month. It's pretty wild and I wish that was available everywhere Frown

Hop on the ubiquiti train if you're gonna spend this much. Buy the console for $380 and you can upgrade to the newest flavor of the year wifi version for under $200.

For home use anyone looking to upgrade from Wifi 5 should probably be snatching up the Linksys LN1301s that are going for <$20. AX4300 at that price is a pretty wonky price-performance ratio.

Merlin rates giga watts don't matter when your throttle body is hampered by the latency in your ping. That's why I can't recommend Asus.

I'll stick with the other slick deal posted for $20 Linksys that can run in mesh and run OpenWRT. Its WiFi 6 only, but that's all I need.
