They're coming out with a new power head soon, and they just came out with the 8.0/12.0 forge batteries, so that's why these are being cleared out. But with that said, this is a great deal, thanks OP! https://www.milwaukeetool.com/products/3016-21st

Hard to tell what is new about this? Battery would be one thing I guess.
Looks like it has three speed controls, the previous model had two. Generally I think the improvement though is just more power.

I have the original Trimmer Milwaukee put out in 2016 or 2017. Its just now starting to not hold a charge as long as it used too. Its funny how replacement batteries are just as expensive as just buying a new kit.

Other than the batteries the trimmer has held up great but my version was the original without any attachment capability and the old style bump feed.

This may be worth the price just to get a new battery.

Soon as you sign in the price goes up to $249.......Bogus!
cause when you are not signed in, it shows the sale price only available in some locations, and when you sign in, it shows the price in your location.

Next years models will be re-packaged with Forge batteries, hence the reason to clear the shelves of these. It's hit or miss due to inventory on the shelves of all the local stores.

Has anyone compared an 18 volt trimmer to a 56 volt Ego trimmer? Own Ego and it works very well. Tired of batteries crapping out though. Two lightly used bats in 4 years. One burned up and the other does not hold a charge for very long compared to when it was new. Have 20 year old and newer Ridgid bats that still perform.

This deal is $149 locally, store pickup.

My Ace down the street had one. Thanks! Hopefully it's not cancelled. The kit is less than the price of the battery by itself at HD. I have all other milwaukee tools, so it's a no brainer. Hopefully I can snag a cheap pruning saw head at some point.

Not sure which specific EGO model you have, but ProjectFarm did a comparison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3ZCMcaAOVM

This isn't a deal. This is trickery compliments of corporate America. This is so common in America these days that you can just expect it like you can't believe anything these days. This item is 299 and has a $50 discount for $249 for being a rewards member. Yes before you sign up it will say 199 - 50 is 149. That's the trickery. If you want to fall for it go right ahead. But you'll pay $249 for it one way or another.
I paid $157.94 for the trimmer after signing up for the corporate trickery. I guess big tool got me again.
