Surprised. Have you tried different settings.? I wonder how it compares to the B4. They say the B4 is not as bright as the C4 but most reviews say its worth saving the money if you are not a gamer

And no, pixels sitting in a box don't degrade, that is the nuttiest, most basement science thing I've ever read
I bought an lg c1 a year after it came out and it was perfectly fine, these newer panels are even better.
and no, you won't "notice", this guy just wrote something absurdly random and convinced 19+ people to ruin their panels right out of box

I ordered the C3 because our old vizio has gray bars top to bottom now. Much needed upgrade. It will be here monday.

OP likely turned on the tv, didn't think it looked right, and ran pixel refresh. Nothing wrong with doing that, but also probably not necessary as it would have ran itself anyway and OLED's appear better after a few hours of use. Right out of box, they don't always look perfect.
Not sure why you are claiming running pixel refresh can ruin the TV, when the TV is constantly doing it itself…and LG says it's perfectly fine to do it manually whenever you want.
