I have the 55 inch version of this. NO complaints. I mainly use it for games. The one thing that I will suggest is that when you get this, after you install it, run the pixel refresh. Since these have been sitting in their box for over a year, there might be a little bit of variation between the pixels, which you will notice and wonder if you made a mistake buying it. The TV will automatically maintain its pixels over the years, but not when it's in a box and not plugged in, so just running that refresh from the menu one time will make it like new.

I have the C3 and for me my room is sometimes too bright if I have other lights on. Worth it for me to have gotten the C4 from my view since I seen reviews saying its noticeably brighter.

Surprised. Have you tried different settings.? I wonder how it compares to the B4. They say the B4 is not as bright as the C4 but most reviews say its worth saving the money if you are not a gamer

Here's the calibration for C3

People don't do this. Your TV maintains itself. Running the pixel refresh straight out of the box is WILD considering you need FOUR HUNDRED HOURS OF USE before it activates itself.

And no, pixels sitting in a box don't degrade, that is the nuttiest, most basement science thing I've ever read

I bought an lg c1 a year after it came out and it was perfectly fine, these newer panels are even better.

and no, you won't "notice", this guy just wrote something absurdly random and convinced 19+ people to ruin their panels right out of box

I'm speaking from experience. It looked horrible day one. I nearly returned it. Then I ran the pixel refresh from the menu, and it fixed it right up.

One of my friends has a C2 and was telling them I was about to buy a C3 and she told me to get this lg remote from amazon that unlocks a special menu that lets you turn off the autodim? She said he made a huge difference.

I ordered the C3 because our old vizio has gray bars top to bottom now. Much needed upgrade. It will be here monday.

Hmmmm this or the c4 for $1,499 with the 5yr warranty?
It is worth to upgrade to c4. C4 color is much better. I compared it side by side between c3 and c4 in store.

Per LG, pixel refresh will run every 4 hours of use once the screen is shut off. Running pixel refresh manually, isn't going to hurt anything and LG specifically says you can run it whenever you want.

OP likely turned on the tv, didn't think it looked right, and ran pixel refresh. Nothing wrong with doing that, but also probably not necessary as it would have ran itself anyway and OLED's appear better after a few hours of use. Right out of box, they don't always look perfect.

Not sure why you are claiming running pixel refresh can ruin the TV, when the TV is constantly doing it itself…and LG says it's perfectly fine to do it manually whenever you want.

I guess I just have it on native view. It's for the best color accuracy. It can get brighter from differing settings but I find the color a bit saturated. But you have a good point

They gave you an additional 100 off for 1200? Well that's nice! I wonder why.

Guys, just wondering what you guys do with your old TV's? I mean I can assume that everyone already have a big LED TV in the last 10 years or so. My TV from 2014-15 is still going strong. I somehow convinced my wife and got another one in 2019 for the bedroom, which we hardly watch. I forgot I have another 48" TV in play room. So after having 3 TV's (70, 65 and 48) and all working fine, I can't convince my wife to buy an OLED tv. Do you guys update your TV's every 2-3 years? and I guess if you try to sell the couple of year old tv on offerup or FMP then you won't get more than $100-$150 as in this price people can buy new TCL or some other generic brand from Costco.

Does the C3 use the "pointer" remote? Had one on a cheaper LG a while ago and drove me nuts.
Yes it does. And I don't like it either.

You could do worse and go to Starbucks every day. My basement tv is a 15yo Panasonic plasma which in my opinion was stupid for them to stop making them because the picture is just still wonderful. Our main tv from 2017 and still looks great. Is it oled, no but why create waste.

Weird, I just sold a 4k 75" Samsung tv from 2018 (that I paid $1,299 at Costco) for $500 on marketplace. People were chomping at the bit for it. Some people know what they're buying and don't want a TCL or Walmart brand or whatever. Those are just not even comparable imo.
