you obviously don't have the phone. It's a very good budget phone that's a better performer than the Moto Play, Moto G, and Stylus 2023 and previous. Those Moto's get one software upgrade if you are lucky while the Samsung's get 5 years. You calling a $36. phone "trash" is laughable.

Just a heads up, while this phone will work on T-Mobile once it has been unlocked after 60 days

it lacks the 600 mhz band that T-Mobile uses, band 71 the type of 5g that is good at penetrating buildings.

Still a great deal, just pointing out that caveat.

It's not the pre-promo price. When I used the gift coupon, the tax also went down.

However, since this deal includes service, the tax includes all other phone service fees and surcharges and those can get quite expensive depending on your zip code (15-30%).

They likely waited for unlock and are using the phone with another carrier.

Tracfone didn't allow hotspot on my Stylus 5G with the same 1500 TTD bundle. When I tried enabling hotspot, it gave me a message "Your plan does not support mobile tethering".

I agree with you man, it is laughable to refer to this phone as trash even without the new customer discount, and thank you for calling that out

Yes. Just the phone itself is a lot nicer so certainly worth the extra $37. Plus 24GB (2GB/mo) is actually decent enough for a light user. The 1.5GB for an entire year only works if you never leave home.

afaik it's tracfone in general on any phone

i was wondering how other poster said they setup hotspot but i'm guessing maybe after phone was unlocked and they switched carrier? or is there an app that will do hotspot that can bypass carriers restriction on hotspot/tethering?

My Moto 5G Power 2024 on StraightTalk has hotspot and same for my TF branded Pixel 6a on their 24GB plan from QVC purchased 3 months ago.

is straighttalk part of tracphone?

i've been hesitent to switch as for several years I pay $22/mo and it has roll over data... and it's been building up and am at 50GB (wow maybe I'm over 4 years on this as I think it's 1GB rolled over per month)

but given i can't use that data like when i was without internet at home for 6 days and i couldn't tap my cells data except on phone i don't know why i haven't switched (maybe i haven't been able to beat $22/mo?)
